Three-color dimir is here to join the other nonsensical deck names like 4-color Jeskai, Atarka red, and 5-color black. What this is, is an attempt to bring back Dimir Teachings (the most hardcore of control decks in the format) with two new twists:1. An instant-speed, tutorable Pyroclasm in the form of Breath Weapon2. A transformative sideboard where game 1 is won with 2 Devious Cover-Ups and games 2 and 3 are won with Curse of the Bloody Tome or Stormbound Geists, or in fact Devious Cover-Ups again.
You trade 1-for-1 with small edges here and there and everywhere (Exclude, Accumulated Knowledge, Fiery Cannonade, Capsize, Chainer's Edict, Evincar's Justice). Eventually you either get tempo-ed out, you draw absolutely atrociously, or you overwhelm your opponent with value.Beating Young Wolf and Rancor in the same deck is damn-near impossible. Maindeck Bonder's Ornament if the meta calls for it. Stormbound Geist to beat Stormbound Geists on the opposite side of the table.
