Deck Description

After a box is shredded and all the money is sold off or shoved into your Standard deck, what do you do with the forgotten soldiers? I've solved this problem by creating decks that follow a few guidelines:

- Deck is built from one block (two sets)
- Deck is at least 60 cards
- Deck is built from common/uncommon cards
- Deck uses one rare maximum, no mythics
- Deck can't use sleeves
- The rest of Magic deck building rules apply

I decided that WR servos was the way I was going to go, and with the artifact love of the red creatures, and the sexiness of Welding Sparks, it turned out really well. The deck plays slowly, but decks tend to when they're built specifically out of common/uncommon cards.

Super fun to play with against someone who's sticking to the restrictions, and a fun way to play the set without having to spend a boatload on cards and put those bookmarks/proxy backs/.22 targets/makeshift flooring material to good use.

Deck discussion for Forgotten Soldiers: Servos

I have a deck that only has one rare(I think) and would be glad to play with you... only it's key to the city and it's a 3-of.
(I could easily tweak it to switch 2 keys with 2 flings, I guess)

If you have a boatload of extra common cards why not try Pauper EDH as a format Any Uncommon creature as your general and 99 commons. You can build some really good/fun decks. I have 14 made up and bring 5 or 6 with me to LGS to hand out and play nice multi-player matches. Again as you mentioned No Sleeves Needed......

I can imagine that an EDH deck with no sleeves would be an absolute bear to shuffle!

even better, invest $5 into Pauper kamigawa block tiny leaders.
(I seriously ocnsidered it given the cost of an average deck is in the $5 range)
