I disagree about Vaasgoth. Tapping Bloodline to make a 7/7 bat (+3/+3 counters from Vasgoth and +2/+2 from Bloodline) could be pretty crazy. Especially if parallel lives is out.

I don't believe your ideal hand would work as Myojin wouldn't be played from your hand and so wouldn't get the divinity counter. Your description sounds like your plan is to put Myojin in the graveyard and then onto the field.

Just curious but why the shapeshifter? or Evil twin?

Unfortunately that is the only Crucible I have, and pretty much the same for all dragons except Balefire which I have 2. Mana wise all the small greenies help a lot and put out mana, which has not been an issue. The biggest issue is the inconsistency, not of which dragons I pull, but of pulling dragons at all. I have switched up the deck a bit and need to reflect that. ((Which I will do right now))

Not possible. The activated abilities can't be made to cost less than 1 mana. So it will get rid of the colorless cost for most of them but still need the color or at least 1 colorless mana.
"Rules: Activated abilities of creatures you control cost up to {2} less to activate. This effect can't reduce the amount of mana an ability costs to activate to less than one mana."

However it is still a good addition. I like the idea of the deck and was about to make one for myself and seeing your deck I may make some adjustments.

Have you thought about Venerated Teacher?

I agree. Too many directions at once makes it difficult to play solidly and turns it into more of a guessing game. Will I pull this or that? Much better to stick to one thing maybe a splash of something else, like creature removal.

I would drop the discard stuff or focus more on it. One or the other.

I have been trying to make this type of deck work but I feel its just too slow. It takes too long to get started. If you find a way around this let me know though because I would like to see this work.

I really like this deck!!!! Just a couple of questions/suggestions. How about a Warstorm Surge? I do see the mana cost as being a bit high but it may be worth it in the end. Or maybe a Furnance of Wrath or Gratuitous Violence? I am a firm believer of "If its not broken don't fix it" but these could be good sideboard options I guess. I play with a small group of people and its usually multiplayer matches so my perspective may be off.

Warstorm Surge = http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewCard_Popup.aspx?CardName=Warstorm%20Surge&Edition=M12&Print=1

Furnace of Wrath = http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewCard_Popup.aspx?CardName=Furnace%20of%20Rath&Edition=10E&Print=1

Gratuitous Violence = http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewCard_Popup.aspx?CardName=Gratuitous%20Violence&Edition=ONS&Print=1

If you want tokens you can replace your Rampant Growth with Growth Spasm. Cost one extra but also get an eldrazi token!

So I have been testing this and I have not had the results I would like. Is there anyway to make this deck work faster or more consistent?

Jade Mage and Garruk's Companion. If you wanna do crazy stuff with the X cards the rest of your creatures need to be mana producers. IMO anyway

That's actually one of the reasons I posted it. I want to say yes but I can't find the balance of creatures to spells that will keep me alive long enough to kill someone. I faced it against my friend's "slow" green deck which has mana costs around 5 being a small card. If you have a suggestion please feel free. I do not get offended easily. I am just looking to improve my decks.

For captivating vampire that is a great deck he has posted. I would change a few, like adding in the vampire that you sac a creature to get +2/+2. Steal their creature the sac it to make yours bigger. I would drop the gatekeeper and get Malakir himself to combo in field clearing with the sac vampire. If, and this is my opinion only, you are going for captivating your best bet is the quickest vampires you can get out. Add in a Door or Coat an just steal all the creatures you can and over run them with their own creatures. If you can't steal something clear the field with the small creatures you can steal from an opponent. Games go by really quick now so the faster the better.
Lands though is a personal preference. I keep 2 to 1 ratio in my decks except for things like elves and allies. If you play big vamps you may want drop the captivating route and just go bloodthirst or Anowyn.

Thats just me and Im not that great of a player.

I might not have seen a Promordial Hydra when I made this deck. I have seen it but after I made the deck. I may pick some up if I decide to touch up the deck. Thanks for the suggestion, it definitely would be better.

Thanks for the tip about those leylines. I have Sancity in there for things like Washout and other removal that targets me since Asceticism keeps my creatures safe.

12 land in a 65 card deck doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I would drop some of the colored mana Myrs for some regular or artifact lands. Thats just me though.

Found it, I missed a Moment's Peace. That was the card that I had replaced somehow with a second Soul's Attendant.

Thanks for that. I am going to go double check my actual deck and see if I really do or if I just messed up when I was doing this. If I have only one then I have to see what card I am missing. Good catch though and thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the advice! I have been running it like you said with just a few tweaks as to what I prefer. I did get rid of the Archon and found a new place for him. Also cut down on the mana producers and stuck to Piligrims eyes only. It flows smoother now by far. I did keep the True Conviction and Celestial Mantle though, combined with Whisper Silk can change the game for me. Ill update it after the games I play tonight to reflect the changes. Thanks again Mercedes.
