Deck discussion for Mono Green Devotion

Not a bad start at all! This looks like a budget deck, and if it is my comments won't help much. You definitely need 4 Courser of Kruphix, at least 2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and consider adding at least 2 Witchstalkers and 2 Sylvan Caryatids. Oo, also you need at least 22 lands. 18 will have you gasping for mana a lot of the time. A good budget devotion green card is Bassara Archer. Love that card.

As far as what to remove, I'd drop a couple of kalonian tuskers and brushstriders first. They're good cards, but courser of kruphix and nykthos will be far more useful.

Good luck!

I've run 2 Nykthos before, and haven't been real impresses with it, which is why I took it out. Courser of Kruphix is a card that should be added, but as I don't play FNM's, I think I'll wait for it to rotate and the price to drop a bit. Witchstalkers are side boarded, because I find then to be rather situational. Bassara Archer is something I have played with too, but with that many cards with GG in their manager cost gets a little weird with BTE. Maybe I'll try -2 Kalonian Tusker, +2 Bassara Archer. And yes, often times lands can be hard to get to, but with the mana curve of 3, its not terrible, but definitely could use more.

As far as the Sylvan Caryatids, what makes them better than an Elvish Visionary, or a turn two BTE, Kalonian Tusker or Brushstrider? The plan with this is to be as aggressive as possible, and Caryatid seems to hinder that a bit.

Thank you much for the advice, I will definitely work on restructuring the deck a bit.

I guess I like caryatids because your opponent simply can't get rid of them, so it's a permanent defense and mana source, unlike Brushstrider or Elvish Mystic (I don't think you meant elvish visionary). And Caryatids can run along side BTE just fine. But if you're going for max aggression, then it's different. If 18 mana works, then you're good to go!

I would not call this mono-green devotion. This is more mono green aggro in my opinion.
