Or: Why Vanguard isn't a real format. Chronatog Avatar allows you to trade a turn for three cards, at the rate of once per turn. A risky ability, normally, and it doesn't allow you to mil the opponent like the original. But it is more exploitable! This deck needs two materials: Solitary Confinement and Laboratory Maniac. A bunch of cheap blue draw spells are used in an attempt to fish these two out. Don't be afraid to skip a turn or two, especially in early game! Once you got the two on the field, you never need to take another turn again! Skip your turn at every chance, as you slowly mill yourself. SC will protect you from any assult from the enemies. If they try to cast anything fishy, then use one of the many counterspells that you have drawn, which can all be cast for free! Eventually, your deck will be draw out, winning the game with LM out. This deck is pretty much unbeatable, lol. Even before the combo, you'll just have too many counterspells andd too much card advantage!
