Deck Description

This build is a slight variation of the "Dimir Mill" deck: https://www.mtgvault.com/tinytone/decks/dimir-mill/

The difference between both Dimir decks, is that the other dimir deck focuses on milling your opponent, whereas this Dimir Deck focuses on rogues and the synergy amongst the creatures all being Rogues.

Many of the rogues trigger mill effects when other rogues enter the battlefield or attack. Rogues also get bonuses if the opponent has 8 or more cards in their graveyard.

This is a pretty solid deck with lots of tricks up its sleeve with instant speed removal and creatures that could be flashed in.

The sneakiest interaction must be flashing in Zareth San, the Trickster during combat and stealing one of your opponents from the graveyard and putting it into play!!

This deck can be bought off amazon for £27 if you look for "Magic: The Gathering 2021 Challenger Deck – Dimir Rogues".

How to Play

Turn 1:
- Flash in a Thieves' Guild Enforcer in your opponent's end step (mill 2)

Turn 2:
- Play Soaring Thought-Thief (mill another 2)
- Attack with the Thieves' Guild Enforcer (mill yet another 2)

Turn 3:
- Play another Soaring Thought-Thief in your 1st main (mill another 2)
- Declare Attackers (Mill 4)
- At this point your opponent has 12+ cards in their graveyard and all your rogues get stronger!

Turn 4:
- Declare Attackers and wait for after blockers have been declared.
- Flash in Zareth Zan, the Trickster on an unblocked creature and return one of your opponents permanents from his graveyard directly to the battlefield (wow!)

Counterspells / Removal options:

Because you're passing each turn without playing any spells and then flashing your creatures in, on their end step, this gives you the opportunity to counter their spells with Drown in the Loch, or cast instant speed removal on their creatures if anything nasty pops up. If you don't go down this road, then alternatively flash in another rogue.

Enjoy - this deck is lots of fun to play :)
