Deck discussion for Vampires

Why do you have Marsh Flats and Verdant Catacombs? Since this is mono black, it'd be the same as having them as a swamp. Notice they are "Land" so they'd count as the one land you're allowed to play that turn. You can't play a Swamp and one of those in the same turn (unless you had a card that puts them into play for you i.e. Rampant Growth)

Love the deck except the Flats and the Combs. I don't see the point in them but if it serves your purpose then who am I to judge. Flats and Combs aside great deck. (B) in my book.

The Flats and Catacombs thin the deck, by removing 2 lands from your library in 1 turn as apposed to 1 a turn. That way you get to your spells and creatures faster. They are common sense cards for every deck.

You should seriously consider Blood Tribute. With all the life gain in this deck, and Sanguine Bond + vampires, Blood Tribute should be a no brainer.

Well I guess I’m lacking in the common sense area because I've never used those cards. I have however used Terramorphic Expanse for that purpose, it hurts less but I guess with the life gain in this deck it really doesn't matter. I’m glad to see they work in that fashion, ya learn something new every day.

OH WAIT I get it now, you pay the one life to have it come into play untapped as opposed to Terramorphic Expanse making them come into play tapped. Nice; forget that (B) cuz its effing (A)! lol

Thanks for the help... I'll add some blood tributes and if you look around, almost all fast desks use fetch lands to thin the deck out and also to shuffle your deck if there isnt a black spell on top for nocturnus
