yeah, this is slightly older. my most recent simic deck was 60 cards, and i ended up taking vorel out and sideboarding him just cause i felt he was too slow. also i put the bow in for the +1/+1 counters but i took it out too. but now that ravnica isnt standard, i shifted my deck to modern

i decided to keep one agressive mining, i use it to draw cards, but when i need more lands ill just kiora's dismissal it back or retraction helix it back so i can play more lands then use it again later when i dont need any more lands.

Fetch lands are great but expensive, so I'm trying to make a standard deck without them. If I like how it runs I'll get some so it will be faster. Besides that, any advice would be appreciated.

I still need to test it, but i think it should work. I'm trying to keep it cheap at first, and then if it works well ill add some better lands to replace the basics. any and all suggestions and criticism are welcome!

I recommend adding some "Gyre Sage's" and "Increasing savagery's". Those help my Simic deck to destroy. Even if you don't like Gyre sage, increasing savagery would be really nice to add.

dang, i like the look of that deck. Last recommendation I could make would be to use 4 "Rite of Flame" instead of seething song, I was never a fan of seething song, but that's just based on opinion.

Didn't find one card that did that, but i found a combo and some other cards you could add if you plan on using living death a lot:
First "Dark Ritual," because this might cost a lot of mana: "Diabolic Revelation," you could use it to bring the three cards you need for this too you hand for only 8 mana(high, but considerably low for one card so you can use demonic tutor to search for it to then search for 3 cards). So you use revelation and bring "Conspiracy," "Iname, Death Aspect," and "Living Death" to your hand. Use "Conspiracy" and make all your creatures spirits, then "Iname, Death Aspect" and send whatever you want to grave. then activate "Living Death" to bring all your rats out.
And some other cards that would help would be:
Grave Consequences- just take the damage and let your opponent clear their grave before you play living death
Grave Betrayal- so their creatures have to go to your field before their own grave
Gravestorm- so either they lessen how many creatures they get from living death, or they give you cards.
Nezumi Graverobber- (notice you have that one)
Haunting Echoes- will get rid of all the cards in their grave

Thaw would be cool, but I'm also looking for a card that would put all copies of a card into the grave(I'm pretty sure that exists). If it does just send all relentless rats to the grave then bring them all back. Ill tell you if i have any luck finding it. But yeah if you added some self mill that would be a great card to add.

i would probably cut "Carnival Hellsteed" down one or two then also "Augur Spree" down one to add 2 or three deadbridges. I like Carnival Hellsteed, but he is a little high mana costing in comparison to your other creatures. and Augur Spree isn't really an amazing card, I don't see why you need 4.

I would say you could probably take out the one forest and one mountain, cause shock lands are Swamp Mountains, for example, so dragonskull summit and woodland cemetery will come in untapped as long as you have either blood crypt, overgrown tomb, or a swamp.
Also i would add Deadbridge goliath, 4 drop for 5/5 is pretty good and hes got scavange.

lol thats awsome. Maybe you could add a couple ponders in case you dont draw treasure hunt in your opening hand, at least then you could hope for it to be withing the next 3 cards. just a thought

a card I like to use with my high costing creatures is "Everflowing Chalice." basically gives you 150% your mana next turn and stays.
really helps me get commander back after he's been killed a lot.

You might want to add a "Rakdos the Defiler." I've never used him, but with all those demons he should be a game winner. Just get your demons out then make them sacrifice everything.
