Deck Description

Bring out some of the new boros creatures to compliment the previous set and kill the opponent while gaining some life.

How to Play

I love the idea of activating legion's initiative on my opponent's turn and then doing planar cleansing on my turn, and when combat starts, I get my creatures back with haste and swing unhindered. YAY!

Deck discussion for Boros' Battalions

Have you thought about the perennial burn: searing spear? Also pillar of flame to deal with voice, and also skullcrack as an anti thrag or sphinxs?

I had thought of all three of those and should probably side board them. The nice thing about Legion's Initiative is that it addresses board wipes since it exiles your creatures for the turn, then bring them back with haste.
Thanks for the recommendations.

Well, I wasn't advocating for the removal of legion's initiative...haha I like it as a card. Though warleader's helix is a bit high for speed burn. That was more of what i was suggesting removal of

You make a really good point though, against aggro decks, I would absolutely go with pillars of flame and/or searing spears to cull the opponent's enthusiasm. The Helix was there more as a mid game strategy, to burn and gain live at the same time. If I had Boros Reckoners I would include them in this deck, but I don't.

Yeah I understand reckoners are expensive. although i must say i like the idea of firemane avenger. Have you thought about hellrider?

Yes, I have. I honestly wasn't going for the typical red deck wins, but I had though about it. One small change I will do though is switch the Guildmages for lightning maulers since they can help trigger a battalion with the medic on turn three.
