When I was opening a booster box from the Magic: 2015 Core Set, I pulled not one but TWO Garruk, Apex Predators! As soon as I got both, I knew I was making a deck with Garruk in it.
I put this deck together with a lot of cards that give life to you and cards that can hit REALLY hard. A broken combo is Become Immense and Terra Stomper. Once you wait out Terra's sickness turn, you can give it +6/+^ for a measly green mana (given that you used Delve and exiled 5 cards). With a 14/14 on your side, you can hit hard. Sure it's for one turn but you also have Titanic Growth which gives a creature (i.e. Terra Stomper) +4/+4 so you can easily finish off an opponent pretty quickly, given that they don't have a card that can exile/destroy a creature.Another amazing play I've thought of is Garruk's 3rd ability and his ultimate. His 3rd ability is "Destroy target creature. You gain life equal to its toughness." Only for -3 loyalty tokens as well! To gain that much you can summon a 3/3 black Beast creature token with deathtouch and save up for the ultimate. Before I go onto the ultimate, while I don't recommend this because your are losing power, you can combine the last combo I stated with his 3rd ability to gain back a lot if not all your life. Anyway, Garruk's ultimate is -8 Loyalty Tokens: "Target opponent gets an emblem with 'Whenever a creature attacks you, it gets +5/+5 and gains trample until the end of turn.'" Wow. +5/+5 AND trample?! Yeah, everything's dead at this point.
