Deck Description

I thought I would try to create a multicolored burn deck using some of the best spells from red, blue and white to deal 20 damage to my opponent as fast as I can. The advantage I see adding blue and white to the deck is Boros Charm, Aurelia's Fury, Snapcaster for more reach, Izzet Charm for utility, and Spark Trooper to counter aggro decks with the lifegain and still pound in for damage. Skullcrack is awesome against Sphinx's Revelation as well as Thragtusk. Blue also lets me put Supreme Verdict in the sideboard for heavy creature decks.

This deck may be slower than the traditional mono red burn deck, but I think adding more quality cards and more reach counteracts the slower nature of the deck. With all of the dual lands and shock lands in the format, color screw shouldn't happen very often if I have 3 lands in play.

How to Play

You have to know when to save your burn for creatures or hit them in the face. However, the deck will fizzle out quickly enough if you always hit their creatures with your spells. I have found that the best game plan is to hit them mostly in the face with creatures, then use Aurelia's Fury at a convenient time to tap their creatures to bide you a turn to hit more burn while possibly doing one or two more damage to your opponent. Also, keep in mind the awesome synergy of Boros Charm and Spark Trooper. If you know you can hit 6 land, try not to play your Trooper on turn 4 if you can wait it out! The 12 life and 12 damage is surely worth it!

When sideboarding, I put in Curse of the Pierced Heart against control to give yourself more reach in the later turns. I presume your opponent, after seeing you are burn, will take out all of their enchantment removal, so this card if played on turn two will eat control alive. Supreme Verdict is obviously against aggro. Grafdigger's Cage is for Unburial Rites decks (which this deck can't really beat if they get going), Pithing Needle is to counteract Staticaster + Olivia decks from stopping your Spark Troopers. The single Dissipate is for control, Rolling Temblors for aggro decks such as humans with multiple creatures with 2 or less toughness.
