Main Deck (30 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Hedge Magic is a lunchtime format some friends and I have agreed on to help get in some quick, relatively inexpensive games. The rules to Hedge Magic are as follows:

Deck size: 30 cards
Playset size: 2 cards
Life Points: 15
Maximum Hand Size: 5

Sideboard: 9 cards

I saw the Battalion mechanic tonight and decided to play with it.

I think it's a fairly unique variant we came up with, to be honest. The point is to get as many games played in as short an amount of time as possible. The bonus is that it's extremely budget friendly!

It seems you are damn right!
I can't wait to tell my friends about this.

This seems like a really fun format. I'm trying to get a friend to play with me and this just may be what I use to introduce him to the game. I've tried before but he always says it's too complicated with the 60 card decks.

Follow-up question: do you do mulligans like normal, just going down to four cards? Or do you do something different?

You know, we rarely do Mulligans when we play, so it's never been a consideration. I'm fairly amateur at Magic, so I'd suggest trying your mulligan to 4 cards and see how that works. Please let me know, and I'd love to see any decks you build in the format!

This is an awesome idea for a format! :D
I'm really considering making all of my decks again in this format, it looks pretty fun(:
Also, for this deck, I would consider lightning helix?(:
And hey man, if you don't mind, I have a pretty evil deck I'd be interested in you looking at?? ^-^
Look at your own risk :D

I would love to take a look! Unfortunately, Lightning Helix is a dual color card. While the deck registers as a two-color deck, the two red cards have split mana, so I can drop them for white. If I ever build a true Red/White deck, I'll test it out!

I just tried my hand at making a Hedge Magic deck. If you could check it out and see what you think that would be awesome.
