Lord of the Unreal does provide hexproof. If he didn't, this deck wouldn't even be possible. If you think about it though. There aren't too many effects that would kill the phantasmals that aren't already kill spells. It is true that you might run into annoying things such as Cunning Pyromancer. I haven't tried out the deck yet but when I do I'll let you know if it was stable or not. That's the reason for the large number of counters.

Looks awesome! Tormented Soul might be a decent option because he can carry swords well.

Yeah I agree with playing mostly cards that activate your ascension. Goblin Guide deserves a place in here for sure. He's a constant source of early activations for the ascension. Also Phyrexian Negator is good in the sideboard with two power and an efficient answer to splinter twin and cawblade.

I think the deck looks real solid. And making sure you don't have dead draws with your removal it vital. You can't be staring down a Wurmcoil Engine with a GftT in your hand. I think this deck needs some form of mana accel. Try sphere of the suns. I hear its good.

Sad that Mindless Null didn't get a spot. I mean hes so broken, they had to restrict him in EDH!

Caw blade I can see as an easy matchup. Crusader goes straight through hawks and mystics and sideboard I have hate for the equipment. Aggro Boros is really no problem because of the sweeps and crusader again. I mean, he's pro Boros, how could that get any better. Oh yeah first strike. Valakut seems kinda iffy.

There's nothing worth assualt strobing in the deck except for Skittles. Thats a situation where you are already winning anyway. And Sarkhan does a good job of providing the last bit of damage.

inkmoth, skittles, vat and inkmoth again are all good outs against control (DoJ).

The vatmother is too easily chumped. I have tested him. and ichorclaw myr doesn't have enough benefit to be worth having out during a clasm.

ooh. Sphere of the Suns. That would help the deck to reach triple black mana for skittles. I think I'd take out the contagion engine and some plague stingers for them.

You should get into it. It's really not that hard. It's not a cut throat format like standard. You can use as many crazy and fun cards as you want (hence loam lion in edh) just as long as they're not banned. My bro is using hornet sting in his deck. and so far he's gotten four kills with it. EDH is the bomb. If you want me to explain the rules just let me know.

Deck looks solid. The only thing I don't like is the Bonehoard. It's really not a strong card. The swords give pro and effects. Bonehoard just gets tripped all day.

Oh yeah and this deck is 75% pimped. It's got the foil sword of fire and ice, the foil top, even the foil, signed Raksha. Just sayin.
