Deck discussion for Yo Booty is Landfall

Not really seeing the point of Amulet of Vigor and Orb of Dreams, it seems a little gimmicky and more suited for a control deck (which this isn't).

Nissa's Pilgrimage is far better than Explosive Vegetation. You only have basic forests, so I don't see that limitation being a problem here. Hell, even Cultivate and Kodama's Reach is better than Explosive Vegetation.

Explore will help a lot, especially after a Nissa's Pilgrimage.

Search for Tomorrow is by far my favourite land search card. Suspend it on the first turn (or second) to get a land for 'free' 2 turns later (your mana is untapped when this happens), and it puts the land onto the battlefield untapped.

You're also not really taking advantage of the landfall triggers. Increasing the number of Avenger of Zendikar and / or including some Zendikar's Roil will help a lot to take advantage of the landfall triggers.

As long as you don't mind giving the same advantage to the opponent

I'm just not sure about this deck at all. It's tagged as Modern, and yes the cards may all be modern legal, but how competitive is it? I think it is lacking the staying board prescence, a way to beat through counterspells, and an answer to twin/burn

It doesn't need to be competitive to be modern, landfall is a fun mechanic to work around but not every deck should be made to beat the best decks. Especially being under 100$ it's difficulty to beat 1000$ to 2000$ decks

I mean when I hear "Modern" I am just assuming its made for competitive play, because modern is an official competitive format. ive seen 75$-$150 decks make top 8 and crush tournaments. look at mono-U delver or soul sisters. even burn to an extent. I love budget modern, and ill brainstorm winning modern decks on the cheap with ya if you want. let me know!

@zaklax I asked for advice lol. That post wasn't helpful whatsoever. Its modern legal, so it is justifyable to tag it as modern. Advice is always welcome, but there isn't much point to be posting something like that. Obviously its suppoused to be just a fun modern deck(non-competitive), or else it would be a much higher dollar amount.

dollar amount does not equal wins. I don't think a $20 deck will win, but ive seen it at $100. not sure what advice you are actually looking for, because you are not looking to be modern competitive in a modern deck. I think my comments were friendly enough, and I wish you luck with yoyr casual play. hopefully someone else has some good advice for you

The idea behind the amulet was to get my lands coming in untapped with most of the mill. The orb is just there to put me at an advantage.
