Meet the control craftsman himself, Geist of Saint Traft...okay, so he really does nothing in the way of control, but his colors do. And when you're talking a fast Azorius control EDH deck, you want to bar them from getting creatures out or getting their mana ramp going from the gates. The type of control that drags your friends in the muck from turn one and forces them into defeat with quick ping spells meant to keep them down and creature-less while you get out your Geist and start swinging in for that sweet commander damage. Of course, plenty of tutor spells are stored away to get Geist his weapon of choice. So go ahead, EDH friends, make the Geist's day, because before you know it he's used his Patrick Swayze-like ghost stealth to stab you in the back for lethal.
