Been thinking about a similar deck my self, but I don't like the Sands of Delerium, I'd replace them with two Psychic Spiral and maybe two Curse of the Bloody tome, or maybe something more for defence like Cyclonic Rift.

Thanks ill look into these cards but my main focus in this deck was to use my defenders to keep me safe while I use spells to mill then once I got sands or increasing confusion I would use the defenders effects to create a supermill for the win...

Physicic spiral is crap cyclonic rift however with your defender mill would give you time o finish whatever your doing if overloaded and if not its am early defensive card I think this dek could splash white for sphinx's revelation it shouldn't be hard put in 2 azorious gates and you could probably play it consistenty

and to make ur doorkeeper more effective, add in a few more defenders, u only have in 16 creatures

16 defenders 4 of which being door keepers is more than enough tap 4 and that's 64 milled you also have axebane paired with sands and/or increasing confusion is even more this deck is combos

how do u plan on having all ur defenders out tho? u want draw as many as u think u will

0

Well as the deck stands until gatecrash is released the defenders come second to the spells...

but u need more defenders to use door keepers ability to its best

I know but I'm not the type to put all my eggs into one basket or in this case 1 wincon the spells+defenders+sands are more than enough I've put this prototype through 50 games one after another and out of 50 its won 48...

over all i like ur deck but maybe add in more defenders like i said just for tht defender, not alot more but enough so u have a good defense but u also have good mana sources and a good defender tht makes target player mill

I took your old advice aswell into playtest phase and it passed doing 50/50 instead of 48/50 although the games were a little rougher I updated both the sideboard and mainboard.

No Cancel, but Dissipate &/or Syncopate... Tomrod's Crypt, Negate, Gravedigger's Cage, Jace's Phantasm, etc...

I won't play 4 Sands, nor 4 Drownyard... 2-3 of each only...

U miss Jace... ...he's the strongest mill U'll get...(3-4 copies)...

If U have the time, check my 2 standard decks at top decks right under yours :) ... I also have another a little bit under them...

Here is a deck I'm working on right now... Any suggestions would be appreciated!..

Dude, add glavanic alchemist to soulbound with axebane guardian. then you'll have infinite mana if you have enough walls

0

I agree with what a lt of people above me said cut 1 drownyard 1 increasing confusion 1 sands and add 3 jace he mills ten cards at least and takes a hit if nothing else which is very good I wouldn't add galvanic alchemist because if you have the defenders for infinite mana you would have a lot of mana anyway and should e well on your way to milling someone out
Ludevic's test subject is a good card as an alternate win condition and he's a defender till he flips

didn't read through all the other comments so sorry if this has already been suggested.
why not put jace's phantasm? although its not a defender, it can pack some serious offense and defense.
19 lands? i think you have too less lands and it might become inconsistent. a defender deck should be able to effectively defend within the 1st few turns to survive. i know you have gatekeepervine but you might need to reconsider your land base. lessen your increasing confusion to maybe 2 and put more lands, i would suggest.

You'll be going against some strong standard decks. I would add in rest in peace so that when you mill them their cards are "poof" gone forever, Great against flashback, and zombies.

or at least side board it. I have 2 rest in peace and 2 graftdiggers in my sideboard. I know you have 1 card with flashback but it's just a thought

Very nice deck dude! I love when a deck needs absolutely no power and toughness to rule. I think you will like my modern turbo fog design:

I have to agree with cng that Azor's Elocutors would do well here. Don't scoff, they would. Unless they have a token swarm, you will have enough fog/defenders to stop damage for 5 turns to set him off.

I think mill is a very good way to go, but dont over do it. At its core this is a turbofog deck, with heavy mill due to Sands and Doorkeeper. But those two, Jace and Though Scour are probably enough to keep you going. 7 other sub-par mill cards are a little much. I would have a few more fog effects (moonmist, terrifying presence, druids deliverance), like 3 of one of those, then 2 mind sculpt (it is a decent mill), 1 incresing confusing (i would rather mana dump into sands), and 1 elocutors (you dont want it to always show up, but when you do, it works). Exact numbers can be up to you.

Tbh those are really specfic changes, otherwise this is a highly promising deck, very well done.

Not bad suggestions at all I just have a rather nasty tendency to structure a deck built around doing one main thing then having one or two small backup wincons but oddly enough this deck has only one wincon and that's mill so it deviates from my other decks and it is quite depressing since I enjoy Having options but perhaps we could put all of our heads together and turn this deck into so.drying the whole community can be proud of then I will take it to tournaments ;P

Besides fogbank. Not a lot of flyer protection.

0

Actually Fogbank and Hover Barrier are defenders in this deck that can block flying so with 8 flying walls and my other walls is say I'm pretty set on defence especially with Fog to boot.

I see Supreme Verdict being a pain for this deck, maybe side borad Devastation Tide to combat this. By the time you have enough mill effect in play someone is going to drop the bomb on this pary. Mind Sculpt and Dream Twist should be maxed out if milling is your game.

Maybe drop one Sands for a Tamiyo. Tamiyo emblem plus Mindsculpt is fantastic.

Other than that, it looks quite solid.

I have tried Tamiyo already she's great but I found that she slows the deck down a little but I was thinking of creating a U or U/W deck built around her :P
