Deck Description

I was a mercurially loyal mage of the Ravnican guild Izzet for the longest of times, but I was saddened on the Day of Rotation, when my good friend Talrand was put out of standard. Sighing a heavy sigh, I was just about to hatch a plan on announcing my resignation to the Firemind without getting incinerated until I noticed the letter that had slipped through my mailslot.

It read, "So we heard you like to cast instants and sorceries and get dudes for it. Call us when you're ready. -Young Pyromancers".

I looked up (well, so to speak) to my goblin minions and to steampunk cyclops lackeys, put my spell components in my pouch, and we set forth Theroswards, with a slight detour through Shandalar to pick up a rowdy bunch of juvenile pyromaniacs.

Upon setting foot in this brave new world, I've learned to dissolve spells, make lightning strike as the earth as a spear, read future events through jets of magma and stymie the hopes of my adversaries.

I've proven my worth to the Master of all things tidal, and I've flown on the wings of arcane beasts empowered by my spellcrafting, and weilding a a giant, magical olive fork, I've greeted the very gods of the plane and now have their powers at my disposal.

Though my old Merfolk wizard friend is no longer with me on my travels through the standardverse, the lessons he taught me and the good times we've had remain, and so I turn to the salty sea air of Meletis and the warm drafts of the Akroan mountains with a smile on my face, ready to learn more, to cast more, and to live more adventures.

(I still get to hang out with Talrand in Commander anyways)

How to Play

Put your utility dudes on the field.

Cast instants and/or sorceries.

Laugh maniacally as your army of elementals grows, your goblin street urchins and Forgegod damage your opponents, and your creatures get more powerful, all as you are throwing spells at your enemy's face for less mana.

Fun times for all!

(The sideboard isn't really a sideboard, but more like a "I'd like to put this in but I'm not sure about the synergy/price"board)
