My friend and I finally completed our first Commander idea for me. It seems we first had this idea over two and a half years ago and it just sat in my Vault for that time having only Sedris, Jhessian Zombies, and Buried Alive in it! We tried to keep it wallet-friendly so if you think something really good is missing it's probably just too expensive. Most of the stuff over a dollar can be either traded from friends or was just too cool to NOT run. I also insisted on keeping a power-hungry mad Grixis necromage flavor on it. Still, I think we made a pretty solid Commander deck that works well in multiplayer without being too much of a target.Notice how everything is neatly divisible by five? <3If you have any budget improvements to the deck, please let me know!
Everything is a Ball Lightning! I'll try and get lots of creatures to an early grave with the lots of discarding draw or Buried Alive and use Sedris to Unearth whatever creatures I need at any given turn as there's a huge variety to work with! And even if I don't get to keep the creatures with Teferi's Veil or Sundial of the Infinite there's a plus side: I don't have to worry about keeping the Unearthed creatures alive while choosing where to attack. No more of that annoying zero-sum attacking and blocking as I'll pretty much always come out on top if I play wisely. Also even if Sedris is removed (of which I have no doubt) I'll already have the mana to hardcast at least one creature per turn, so I'll somewhat keep up in the game. Unfortunately I'll just have to try to beat enchantment and mill decks down as fast as I can as they'll probably be my undoing if I let them be. Fingers crossed. And if all other plans fail, I'll Infinite Reflection my Goblin Flectomancer. I can't wait to do that.
