Deck Description

NOTE: This is just a prototype. I will test and improve the deck little by little. Please leave suggestions in the comments. I'd appreciate it

My attempt at mono green ramp deck. the idea is to ramp, Ramp and RAMP using creatures. then play big creatures. it is possible to play primal surge turn 5, and since you have only two instants/sorceries in the deck, you can put your whole deck to the battlefield. elvish visionary and souls of the harvest is there for card draw

How to Play

Ramp yourself up nicely. I usually have at least 11 mana avaibable by turn 7, and that is when I usually play primal surge. Due to the small number of instants and sorceries you are able to put maybe 1/3 of your deck to the battlefield. I usually stop when I have about 15 permanents from primal surge. Then you just have to watch your opponents suffer. Winning without primal surge is possible too. One way is to simply play huge creatures and trample over your opponents'.

Deck discussion for My attempt at mono green ramp

You don't need the Ivy Lane Denizen. It doesn't really help you. What format are you trying to be legal in? Rofellos could help you out pretty well, as well as Vorinclex and Prime Time.

I'm also not sure why you'd run Primal Surge over something like Genesis Wave. The wave hits the battlefield earlier, and helps you win faster. Sure it may mean that you need to drop a few of your excessively large creatures, but it would allow you to run more small ramp-type creatures, which would help ensure that you have more playable cards in your hand at the crucial beginning of the game.

This deck is meant for casual gaming, though with small adjustments it could be standard legal. I like all your suggestions but some of those cards are too expensive for my budget. And I agree, Genesis Wave is much better than Primal Surge. I have'n seen that card before

I sincerely enjoy this. Since you are running oran reif, the two ramp creatures that come to my mind are gyre sage and devoted druid, if you think they will fit well. Also primal surge is wonderful, i'd keep it. The staff of nin has become one of my favorite cards in green ramp.
