Deck Description

"Who hurt you, Naban? How could a dean be so mean?"

"Oh, you haven't SEEN how mean this dean can . . . bean . . ."

How to Play

One combo I just loved the moment I saw it was Naban into Aether Adept. Double-bounce doesn't seem like much, but compare the cost of Unsummon to that of Floodwaters, Grasping Current, Into the Void, or Waterwhirl, and you start to see that the effect is more powerful than you once thought. Adept can also bounce itself, meaning it can come back every turn and bounce the opponent's biggest threat. Double-trigger on Master of Waves is huge, too, and though you'll rarely get to double-flashback with Snapcaster, it's still a good fit for the deck. Wizard's Retort is modern Counterspell, and Spreading Seas attack the lands. This is very much a tempo deck meant to beat midrange, but the sideboard can fight combo, aggro, or anything else you're looking to beat.
