Just a fun Modern deck I've been wanting to try out. Tribal Red-Black Defenders, featuring Vent Sentinel (of course).
The Goal: Play Defenders, ignore our enemy's attacks, whittle them down with Vent Sentinel and Hired Torturer.How To Get There: You may have Noticed the large amount of Deathtouch granting going on here.. This is how we deal with/prevent enemy threats attacking, especially since some of our defenders are just a little weaker than usual. By preventing threats from being, well, threats, we can safely build up a mass of Defenders.Plan B/C: If the Vent Sentinel thing doesn't work out, you have Lavaclaw Reaches and Gargoyle Sentinel to apply pressure and maybe even close the last little gap of damage for the kill.Sideboard: Kazuul, while not a defender, is one of the best ways for us to deal with token and swarm strategies. bojuka Bog comes in against graveyard-based strategies, Ghost Quarter is a way to combat tron, and Bolt is, well, bolt.
