Deck Description

This deck is the epitome of battlecruiser Magic. In general the point of the deck is to resolve more threats than the board can reasonably remove or control. This is largely dependent on the ability to ramp mana into big creatures, while also keeping gas in your hand consistently. Its a straightforward strategy: play dragon ---> hit face ---> profit. The deck also comes with a few control pieces to protect your board and answer oppenents' threats. There are a few cards worth pointing out, however.

Nicol Bolas, the Ravager (Commander): Nikky-B here is an ideal commander for our Grixis Dragons deck. He's one of the cheapest dragons around and can come down early in order to protect your face from early aggressive creatures. Later on you can pay to flip him into a very powerful planeswalker. His +2 and -4 can help keep your boardstate advancing, while his -3 eliminates most creatures and planeswalkers. His -12 will eliminate an opponent if you manage to get there.

Palace Siege: Choosing Khans (flavor-fail, I know) is one of the best ways to ensure resilency in the deck. Bringing back a dragon from the yard every turn makes it increasingly difficult for opponents to keep the board under control. Beacon of Unrest and Bladewing fill a similar role.

Vanquisher's Banner and Dragon's Hoard: Play a dragon, draw a dragon. Helps keep you in gas. Dragon's Hoard also has the added benefit of being mana fixing.

Spine of Ish Sah: Grixis has no good was for dealing with enchantments. Spine helps with that issue and can be tutored up when needed.

Imprisoned in the Moon: I'm of the firm opinion that any blue deck should run this card. Its one of the best ways to lock down opposing commanders, as well as troublesome lands (Urborg, Cabal Coffers).

Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury: Most opponents won't see this guy coming until you're already swinging. He exponentially increases your potential damage output and can make for sneaky alpha strikes.

Hanweir Battlements: The ability to give a creature haste on a land is underrated. Most opponents will forget the land has this ability and will be on the lookout for Hanweir Garrison, use it to get in a sneaky kill when opponents don't expect it.

Crosis's Catacombs: The Lair lands are under represented budget mana fixing for three color decks. They come in untapped, and you can return a tapped land to your hand. Not great, but not bad if you're a three color deck without fetches/shocks.

Deck discussion for Grixis Dragons

I have some Dragon suggestions. Balefire Dragon, Kilnmouth Dragon, Scourge of the throne, Stormbreath Dragon, or Thundermaw Hellkite. I mostly recommend the Balefire out of all of them. He can wipe there board and it hits hard.
