Deck Description

A budget version of my B/W lifegain deck I made a couple of months ago, The idea is to build up Gideon with a lot of loyalty and then sac him to devour flesh while you either have the guildmage or bond out, results is a big upswing in life for you while potentially dealing lethal damage to your opponent.

The deck relies on the enchantments to stall and shut down your opponent while building to the combo. The low land count is offset by the keyrunes which provide a mana ramp to allow you to get to your combo pieces earlier.

Trying to keep this version to a budget hence no Archangel, Obzedat or shocklands.

How to Play

The idea is to build up Gideons loyalty and then sac him using devour flesh, with the guildmage or bond out any life you gain your opponent loses so is essentially a one shot win con when you can pull it off.

Alternate win cons are provided by debt to the deathless which also combos well with the guildmage and sanguine bond.

sideboard allows the deck to be more control orientated with discard effects and also gives the option of just pumping up a creature with eidolen of countless battles and just swing for victory.
