Deck Description

New take on monoblue devotion that's not as aggro as the previous version. Many new cards coming in with new set that have possibilities may wait to test with new set.
Chasum can get huge in a deck like this with so many cards to help draw. Minder aver with Aquarius form to exile and counter or just used for devotion. Polymorph with bidet to make them attack with all 1/1's. Dakra to gain more cards or discard if it helps them. Not sure on paragon the counters will help waves tokens and the flying is needed in this deck. Any suggestions always welcomed.

Deck discussion for Blue Devotion Midrange

I know that Repeal is an awesome card, but if you removed, this could be all-standard!
How about replacing it with Voyage's End?

But anyways, looking good.

Repeal coming back in khans I'll switch when set on the vault! Looking at polymorphous rush to maybe copy the master of waves or the tokens for some shanagans don't know what to remove for it. I was lil tipsy when ordering some of the cards and got the rush over the jest....doh! Looks promising though!

Another thought is vaporkin a 2/1 flyer for 2 is not bad gets buffed by master but one less devotion might need to test it out

Removed illusionary angel for scion of glaciers he is an elemental so gets buffed by waves. Removed dakra mystic for hypnotic siren one drop flyer seems better plus late game can steal a threat. Going to put in two AEtherspouts but they not showing up in the search que.

Aqueous Form is WAY better than invisibility. Even though invisibility has one more devotion Aqueous form lets you scry every turn.

Yeah I have both the scry is nice once thassa is out its pointless and one less devotion will try both out thanks

No worries mate, we evolve that's what makes us magic players. Rw token seems to be the fav deck at the meta also played against some crazy super fiends deck that must have cost $800

Dropped skulker and elder, love skulker but it eats a removal almost every time, elder not pulling his weight really. Also dictate out and military Intel, don't need the extra card draw for skulker and bidet fine for draw. Mind reaver back in I need the devotion had a offline thassa to many times.

Need ways to interact with opponent. Thassa rebuff good counter card late game or early if I get quick one drops. Adding signing bell strike main gives me on devotion and locks them down. Polymorph jest has been great plus people dig my Chinese version.

I think prognostic Sphinx could work here the sky's are clear other then the new dragons and the new red Phoenix will prob get play and with hall and paragon out I'm looking at a 5/7 with possible hexproof if needed and major scry

Also like that cloud form card but don't know yet may need testing

Thoughts?

As mentioned before, I guess you should add Voyage's End. If played right time, it will deny your opponent's best attacker and give you some control over your top card. So, it is pretty good removal spell.

How has Vaporkin worked for you? It was one helluva pain in the arse back in prelease of Theros, but how it works in FNM?

With the counters from hall and paragon it won me a game on last turn, dropped master of waves final turn on a stalled board for the extra counter to go over the top for win

Hey there!

Not enough land. You're playing 4-drops (and not just a few) with zero scry lands and no card draw. You're going to want 24 lands. If you want to live life on the edge, you could try 23. Last season, Mono U Devotion ran 25 (because of Mutavault) and had a curve similar to yours.

Thassa's Rebuff. I can't agree with this one. Seems inconsistent where you could just play Negate if worried about non-creatures or Nullify if worried about creatures or Dissolve if absolutely needing the counter in the deck.

Polymorphist's Jest. Is 3 too many? Seems like a solid one-of. Obviously two is rarely needed in the same game. I can see wanting to draw it more often and playing >1 for that reason, but I think that's overkill.

Three drops. Alright, I'll be the first to admit it, the Blue thee drops are terrible right now. I don't think this means we ignore them. Your deck almost always takes turn three off. I recommend Cloud Form. Two pips, evasion, hexproof, it's the best we got.

My suggestion:

-3 Thassa's Rebuff
-2 Polymorphist's Jest
-1 Singing Bell Strike

+2 Island
+4 Cloud Form

I left the other stuff alone because my assumption is that you have a lot more experience playing the deck than I do. Is Encrust bad? It seemed like the other go-to three drop.

Thassa rebuff is very powerful late game and even early if they tap out all their mana I can counter them with only one devotion but I'll cut one.
With Thassa I scry every upkeep so should be good there, and with bident I get plenty of card draw.
Singing bell strike is great, provides devotion and locks down threats but can cut one
Polymorph jest can be unexpected and when they swing with fatties I can turn them and kill them with ease dropped one.
I have been thinking of cloud form not a lot of flying threats and the hexproof is sweet plus think of a flying Thassa that would be sweet! Will go four of them
So here is what I cut and added:
-1 shore stalker
-1 vapokin
-1 jest
-1 singing bell
-1 Thassa rebuff

+1 island
+4 cloudform

Haven't had mana issues yet I think the xtra island will be fine, thoughts?

Stratis Dancer in for Vaporkin,
Shorecrasher in as a playset think this card alone can bring mono u back!
Gudul Lurker in for shore stalker, the xtra pump could help the last points get in if needed,
Mirror Mockery in for singing bell for an xtra buff for master of waves or copy the best creature my opponent has.
Excited to get the cards and test this out looks promising
