Puresteel does not give you equipping at instant speed. That's what Leonin Shikari is for.

I love axebane but I think 4 overgrown battlement is enough since I'm mono colored and don't have anything that is high in mana costs.

Sorry, don't normally do this but I'm planning on buying this deck and wanted to some feedback before I do http://www.mtgvault.com/xgodofwaterx/decks/budget-can-you-walltz/

Please and Thanks!

Hahaha the win conditions are pretty fun. Late game burn is a tough strategy to pull off but if it's to be pulled off, a defender deck will definitely help you get to late game. +1

I've noticed that almost all defender decks are multicolored. I wanted to try making a mono colored deck and would love some feedback and opinions if it's overshadowed by the multicolored defenders. Do note it's a budget deck as well, so please keep suggestions cheap ;) http://www.mtgvault.com/xgodofwaterx/decks/budget-can-you-walltz/

Your deck needs WAY more lands(Mountains). Anything under 20 lands needs other ways to get mana unless everything in your deck is 3 mana cost or lower. Look at the right side where it says mana symbol occurrence, this is a great tool for deciding how to split your lands when you're running more than one color. Here you have about a 3:2 ratio of white and red mana. My suggestions would be to remove all your elixir of immortality (don't need life gain in early aggro), Dictate, and font of Ire (don't need late game aggro in an early aggro deck) and add 1 plains and 5 mountains in their place. Lightning bolt is almost unanimously considered the BEST red card in the game. If you're going to have it in your deck, put 4 of them in your deck. Reduce your number of magma spray to make room for lightning bolt. Wrath of God is a great card but I don't see its use in your deck besides using it with faith's reward. However, using it with faith's reward will cost you 8 mana and by the time you have 8 mana your opponent should already be dead. I'd switch wrath, and add more boros charms. I'm sorry if it feels like i'm butchering your deck but that's only because I like it and want it to do well.

Last little piece of advice. When building an aggro deck, try to keep your deck focused. It's easy to get distracted and tempted with cool cards and combos, but being well rounded makes for a dull blade. If you want to cut down your opponents quickly, you must be sharp and precise.

Surgical Extraction should make the SB.

I like Apostle's blessing and it will replace Artful dodge quite efficiently. Since Apostle's Blessing can be used as evasion or for defensive purposes. However I think Assault strobe fits better than Temur because evasion is already so prevalent that trample for double the mana cost is excessive. Removing Delver will put too much weight on Kiln Fiend and Nivix especially since there's no tutor to find them or a card draw engine. Having more mana or instants will greatly help Kiln Fiend but you can't help something that's not there.

I'd recommend Overgrown Battlement over Vine Trellis. It's just straight up more mana and it's only 4 cents more each card.

I think Steel Wall is a better choice in a multi color deck. Steel Wall is a more reliable turn one drop.

Thanks! I just happened to find it trying to build a Pheldagriff budget EDH and felt it belonged here. I'm really surprised you saw and actually got to my request. I thought it would be something you might not have been interested in since I haven't encountered something like this that you have built so I deleted my comment feeling stupid hahaha. This really brightens my day! Again, Thanks!

Well made, definitely a great pair of decks! Sign in Blood is my favorite in this. Since aggro plays so many cards so quickly this is an excellent support card that stays relevant late game. The abundant removal is a great idea with so much creature aggro from the other deck. Thank you for making these!

Ps. Question: Does Gray Merchant take life for each player in DHG? For example you have devotion 5, do you take 5 life for each opposing player for a total of 10 or take just 5 as though both players are just one.

This deck is fantastic! Crazy fast aggression but my favorite part is how Goblin Wardriver and all the enchantments and instants transition from beefing your own creatures to supporting your cousin in late game for they can be applied to any creature not just the ones you control.
