Deck discussion for Illusion - Standard

I Like the very focused idea, a true tribal deck.

Fun fact about illusions and spellskite: Spellskite will fail at a redirect, because as soon as a target for a spell is announced (assuming its an illusion that is targeted) the effect of the death of the illusion is instantly put on the stack, and thus even if redirected, the illusion will still die.

Id replace the spellskite with grand architects

Also, up to 22-24 lands:

How often do you loose because you dont have enough mana....

Now how often do you loose because of having too much mana.....

How do these compare???? O.o

This deck runs really smooth and I don't have too much mana. I know that the spellskites don't protect most of my illusions, but it does protect the lord of the unreal and aether figments. It's also a cheap 0/4 blocker and can keep me from taking heavy burn damage. I thought about grand architect but its a bit unnecessary since I have a ton of pump...I'll probably add them in replacement of the aether figments when the zendikar block rotates out. I went 3-1 two weeks in a row at FNM and I beat some tournament decks so I suggest giving this deck a shot. Thanks for the feed back.

i do like spellskites, i just wanted to make sure you knew that, and actually, i dont even think you would need 20 lands due to the nice low mana cost of this deck, and personally, i really do like this illusion deck because it really is an atual illusion deck, not MASSIVE LIVING WEAPON+ some illusions, like every other one ive seen, it really is VERY Focused, like a tribal deck should be

Ive had a few games where I blow the opponent away with only 2 lands early and a 3rd land turn 5 or so. I wish I could take out another land but I feel like I'd end up short too often. Its a really cheap deck to build so you should give it a shot. I'm hoping the new sets have some nice illusion stuff to work with...I feel like they wouldn't drop a card like lord of unreal if they weren't going to follow it up with a new illusion or 2 to work with.
