Deck Description

Make your opponents cry and use their tears as blue mana to fuel your stupid counterspell engine when you play this deck.

How to Play

Fairly straightforward. Play lullmage mentor and counter everything and make merfolk for the war machine, or use all your counters as graveyard fuel for cognivore.
Try not to play lullmage mentor or the war machine until you have enough lands to leave a counterspell available as well.
Bounce creatures that slip through your counters so you have a chance to counter them again.
Add Pact of Negation if your budget will allow. Add more bounce against heavy aggro.
And don't forget to have fun! (Even if it makes your opponents hate you :D)

Deck discussion for Counterspells forever (casual)

How about sideboard Voyage's End to take care of those creatures that manage to slip through your defenses? I know you already got Unsummon, but more is more you know!

Otherwise funny-looking casual deck. +1 like.

Thanks! Yeah, I mostly play against control with my friends so I don't need much, but against aggronyou should definitely add voyage's end for more bounce.

if you mostly play against control id suggest running a fast deck like goblins or elves control vs control is slow and boring
in this deck id suggest adding true name nemesis he might be the best merfolk ever made

Great card, but too expensive. Probably because it's so good. And against control that relies on a couple of certain cards to win, it's easy to counter the important combos.
