Deck Description

I am new to MTG and this is one of my first couple decks. I play almost entirely multiplayer. I would love to hear for you all on any suggestions to make it better. I only ask if you suggest a single card over about $10 to also suggest one slightly less expensive. I like to keep my decks under $50 id possible. Thank you

How to Play

This is pretty simple and almost makes me fly under the radar at start. I get rats out as fast as I can. If I have the extra land available I will usually discard a Relentless Rat for Pack Rat. Once Ogre Slumlord gets out I'm aggressive because all the rats have death touch and if they die I get a token that I can sacrifice for another Pack Rat. I use the defensive when needed but also will sometimes discard those. I have a few cards to keep my Ogre Slumlord alive and to bring him back from the graveyard since he makes the deck.

I personally don't like the ciphers on decks that don't have an unblockable creature, simply because you spend a lot of mana on the spell that should cost a lot less, but because it is repeatable costs a lot more, when it can get chump blocked. If you trade the Undercity Plagues and 2 Swamps for Tormented Souls, then the Midnight Recovery would be a lot stronger since it would draw out a removal spell, but until then allows you to cycle your Relentless Rats to make more Pack Rats.

Also, Immortal Servitude would behoove this deck greatly.

So I took out the two Undercity Plagues and only one Swamp (always afraid of being land locked). I'm going to get to play it a bit today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I also made some room for two Immortal Servitude.

Chiron423 - You, sir, are the man. Adding the Tormented Soul and using the Midnight Recovery on him has been great!. Also the Immortal Servitude just adds a little bit of ridiculousness to the deck. I actually had someone concede before the Ogre Slumlord was even out after I had nine 9/9 rats (because of Pack Rat)! It was great!! Really loving this deck...
