Less Budget Wall Throwing

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (7 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Pretty much the same as Wall Throwing (http://www.mtgvault.com/zoakselot/decks/wall-throwing/) (also by me) but less budget, and arguably better. More card searching, and the only way to win by flinging walls is with a double Glyph.

How to Play

First, second, or third turn play walls. Fourth turn and later, get either two Glyphs, or a Glyph and a Reverberate. Play them both on a blocking wall, then Fling it to deal 20 damage. If your opponent is playing a deck without creatures, use the Forbidden orchard to give them creatures. Make sure they are attacking with Skin Invasion.

Deck discussion for Less Budget Wall Throwing

I do like how everything is three mana or less

This version does have some draw/fetch cards, but they're worthless if your hand is empty. I suppose it doesn't matter much in a 2 player game though.

Can you elaborate?

In a 3 player game you're going to receive more burn, attacks from flyers, discards and creature destruction. Most of your cards have low CMC and you'll play through most of what you have (if not all) before getting Faithless Looting or Gamble. If you have no cards in your hand any cards you would get from Faithless Looting or Gamble would go directly into your graveyard. Most opponent's won't choose to attack if they're not going to be able to deal damage making your Glyph useless as well unless it can be played in combination with one of the 3 cards you have that force creatures to attack. I guess I'm saying I feel that the win condition of this deck is based on a combination of at least 3 cards, two of them being Glyph of Destruction and Skin Invasion and the third being any wall. Pulling off that combo consistently will require being able to go through your deck a bit faster to get what you need.

Generally, I'm only going to play one wall at a time. The less walls, the more likely they are too attack. This (hopefully) means that I'll have walls to discard. Discarding that, though, this deck is labeled as casual. There is no way that it could ever win against other legacy (or even modern {or even standard}) deck. The point is that it's fun. If I accidentally discard my fling? Well, that will make the game even more sporadic, which will make the game even more funner (hah! Screw you, grammar). In the setting that i play in, my opponents' decks are just as crappy as mine, but also as fun. :)

P.S. It's actually about a 6 card combo.
1. Wall
2. Glyph
3. Glyph #2
4. Fling
5. Skin Invasion
6. Forbidden Orchard

I think I'd have a lot of fun playing with you because my all my decks are around the same value and sporadic. Just trying to give my perspective for the little it may be worth. This deck is totally great the way it is and looks like a lot of fun to play!

...I feel like you're saying that, because you've given up on trying to help me make my decks better, and you want me to stop bickering.

Haha. Not at all. The biggest factor that goes into building a deck is what you're anticipating playing against and I certainly don't know what kind of decks your friends have. Speaking for myself; I play against some standard/modern decks worth 10 fold my decks value and I need specific combos to work consistently (usually they don't).

I checked out some of your decks and they seem pretty cool. I'm not sure I was able to leave any helpful comments, but I liked a few of them. Based on your comments, I feel like you would like my Nivmagus Pact deck. It's fairly consistent, but I'm still trying to figure out some of the ratios, and maybe you could help with that. It's right here:

Thanks for checking out my decks and your comments. I feel like they were helpful. I'd be happy to look at your decks and I'll try to be helpful as well. Need sleep now though...
