you need SB against card like engineered plague or Curse of Death's Hold or Propaganda ect. so i suggest some enchanment/artifact destruction. And since your deck is mono black, what about Dark rituals to get out your rats as soon as possible :)
They cost almost nothing though?? How much faster must this be???
fast as is possible :). 1 turn..you can play one rat....with Dark Riatuals..you can play 3x one mana cost rat or Pack rat plus another rat on firts turn!!!!

I spaced, for a moment I thought this was a vampire deck, as most mono-black creature decks for the current meta-game are vampure decks. I'd say take it out now as I reccomened putting it in the wrong deck build.My apologies.
