Deck Description

I liked the old W/U merfolk deck but THEN they came out with support for the G/U and honestly I've fallen in love.

How to Play

Add lands... Spam. Use the tapping of merfolk to draw consistently and the deck will synergize VERY well. Swarm and swing.

Another good one for this would be intruder alarm. Especially with Lullmage Mentor.

Prophet of Kruphix is actually banned in Commander. Seedborn Muse is probably the best replacement for it.

And I would suggest that you remove about half of the mana ramp spells and replace them with Heroic intervention and counters, so you can interact against your opponents. Merfolks really don't need that much mana and most of your cards are 2-3 mana. I would add Earth Craft over any mana ramp spell.

Merrow Commerce is a merfolk enchantment and you can tap it for Kumena's abilities. I would say it's a must in the deck.

Hungh. That is so trippy. DIdn't think prophet of all things would be banned. I am leaving the mana ramp in for a specific reason. While the merfolk individual spells are relatively low cost, the draw potential in this deck is insane. So I'll always be able to constantly use my hand and play multiple spells a turn if I ramp as well as drawing a lot at the same time. Thanks though! Ill give it a look when I get the chance for sure.

Fair enough. Skyshroud Claim is a great ramp card that doesn't bring the lands in tapped, so you can keep dropping creatures after. It can also bring any forest like breeding pool.

Oh and maybe you want Kiora, Master of the Depths over Divination. Her -2 will probably net you 2 cards every time.
