I kinda like Birds of Paradise over Noble Hierarch. I understand using the exalted part of the card, but I love the mana production of the birds. I like this deck in general. It is definitely creative, I'm not sure how incredibly effective it is.

The way I wanted this deck to work is for first of all, casting Noble Hierarch, then mana boosting so that I can cast Bloodbraid Elf on turn 3, getting a Wooly Thoctar, Rhox War Monk, Sedraxis Specter, or Sprouting Thrinax. Then the next turn attack with one of the powerful 3 mana creatures so that exalted triggers and hitting for a lot of damage. Exalted is a main part of this deck and helped me out a lot when I was play-testing so I decided to add in 2 Rafiq of The Many's in there. And Birds of Paradise can't attack for any damage at all.

I like the Birds of Paradise as well, but the Noble Hierarch has that one upside: Exalted. Not to mention the Lotus Cobra helps to make up for the mana slack Noble Hierarch lacks. Overall, great creature deck, though it'd be neat to see something that would devour those Saprolings from the Thrinaxes. 9/10

Yo thanks for the comment, man I always appreciate it. And you are completely right with the Noble Hierarch discussion. I didn't really think too much about the Saprolings, and your right maybe I could add something to devour them, not quite sure what but after I have 4 mana I have to wait 6 more turns until I can make a nice fatty, so I will think about it. Thanks for the high rate, mate! Cheers!

From the looks of this I'm guessing all you want is creatures in this deck and no spells of any other type. That'll cost you some points on my rating only because this deck can be very easy to deal with with simple removal and counters. Yet, on the other hand I do like what you have for creatures. The only creature I didn't see in there that you should definitely use, especially if only for Progenitus is Maelstrom Archangel. That creature alone will help cast creatures you lack correct mana for.

The little Timmy inside of me loves Rafiq, but my practical side hates him. Maybe i've just never used him the correct way, but exalted in a 100% creature deck just seems odd because i'm sure you'll be attacking with more than one creature. I'm not using Noble Hierarch as my example because she is a definite mana fixer and a great turn 2 attacker and with Lotus Cobra in there you mana base is significantly helped out.

I recommend only one of each tri-land and possibly adding Rupture Spire. Patrick Chappin "The Innovator" mentioned that even though it comes into play tapped, having any mana you need in a pinch is worth waiting that one turn, especially early on.

Overall I give this 7/10. Not bad, but with a little tweaking it could be a lot better.

You are completely correct about how this deck is sort of "easy" to deal with by using a Wrath of God or Day of Judgment, and I know that. But that's the point, it makes it a challenge and that is my favorite part of this deck, it makes you better at playing because you don't want to mess up, and you want to play everything in the perfect order, and I love that because I have become such a better player off of making/playing this. Also excellent suggestions, I will be replacing Arcane Sanctum with Rupture Spire right away. And thank god you told me about Maelstrom Archangel, he will be replacing 2 of my Baneslayer Angels. Overall thank you for the suggestions and I will get to tweaking right away!

to be honest I disagree with the use of rupture spire... I have a sliver deck in which I had 2 but it was so frustrating not only coming into play tapped but also making you tap another mana... Since this is a creature based deck I would rather recommend thran quarry.. but overall this is a nice deck I always liked creature-based decks... Oh, I almost forgot I know this isn't supposed to have spells but maybe 1 or 2 wild pair?

IMHO I had my doubts about Rupture Spire as well and at the time to me it just seemed like a really bad Turn-2 Land and an unplayable Turn-1 Land. And while I was correct, on Turns 4 or 5 when I really need to start getting all 5 Colors for my Progenitus/Maelstrom Archangel, it was a very acceptable play. Besides, I only keep 2 in my Deck so it's not much of a commitment to keep them in there. Wild Pair would be nice, but it goes against the Deck and so I shall not do that. Thanks for the comment and the support! :D

So this is the famous 36 Creatures deck I've heard so much about. I like it man; there are a couple cards I could recommend for ya'. Pthisis & Scute Mob. Scute Mob is just nice because it's low to cast & keeps building every turn however you'd need more Forests for that one to work. But think about this card too, "Scavenger Drake" that mofo will buff everytime a creature is put into a graveyard, not just yours! But nice work Aboy, I give ya' 9.7 Stars for this bad boy; goodjob bro!

What is Pthisis? Sorry I'm still a nubcake, lol. The original deck had 4 Bolts and 2 Path to Exiles. So really it was 30~Creatures, and that sounded nubish and they did almost nothing. Now I'm much more happy with this deck, except for the sideboard, which I might get rid of one day. I didn't know bout Scute Mob, and Scavenger Drake at the time, but they could make nice additions to the deck.

Sorry, my mistake. the spelling is "Phthisis" & it's a sorcery, I thought it was a creature. Look it up @ mtgfanatic.com

This has to be one of the coolest decks that plays rainbow I've ever seen. Also, the fact that you can play Progenitus with this deck without much of a hitch (and without absurd "cheating") is just friggin' sweet. Man, I would like to have your permission to use this deck for a theme-tourney my play-group is having soon. The theme of course is, rainbow. =]

Absolutely, man! I don't have any like "rights" to these Decks that I make, so I have no problem with people using them. Only problem is that the Sideboard is a little "shaky", so you might wan't to change it up a little. Thanks for the comment! :D

I don't think people realize just how hard a 36 creature deck actually is. They're a lot tougher to do than one might originally think. Take any one of my Stompy decks, my sacrifice deck, or any of my other aggro decks...they're all well under 36 creatures. Even my "Creature-Stomp", a creature-heavy stompy, is 8 creatures short of 36!

Seriously, if there's a reason to like this deck, that's a big one.

Yeah, I think the hardest part of all was making the Sideboard out of all Creature Cards. Thanks for the comment and the support! :D

I really like the deck in concept, but the price is upwards of 100$. Take it down a notch with the mythics!

0

The truly unfortunate thing is that a good deck at "just" $100 is actually not that expensive. Believe me, I wish that wasn't true. =/

0

Actually, this Deck is rather cheap right now because of how Jund rotated out of Standard, and Lotus Cobra went way down in price, so it really doesn't cost as much as it used to.

Agreed when ever i decide to put my decks together they are normaly atleast 150 and that is the good ones. Now if it is a casual deck then just normaly around 50. Thank god for play testing with proxies to see if i realy want to invest that kind of money into a deck.

Your mana base is terrible, you have the ability to use filters, vivids, and reflecting pool in extended so use them.

0

Ha! Yeah right, that shit almost sounds concinving. Have you really payed any attention at all to the Deck and just "looked" at my Mana-Base and started throwing criticisms at my face? Filter Lands are good because they turn themselves as well as another land into Dual-Lands, which is nice but in this Deck Dual-Lands are not as useful, seeing as how every Turn I need a different Color. Vivid Lands are kind of odd to use because they come into play tapped with only 2 Turns of effect, then turns into a regular Land, which is like a complete waste of space and I could be doing way better things with it. The best thing about your comment is that you didn't notice that I run a PLAYSET of Reflecting Pools. Now that made me laugh. Also, I have never ONCE gotten Mana-Screwed with this Deck thanks to sweet Ancient Ziggurat + Reflecting Pool Combo, and even if that doesn't work out, you again didn't notice that I run a playset of Birds of Pardise and Lotus Cobras. Draw a couple sample hands and think before you start calling a part of my Deck "Terrible." Thanks for the comment, it was a great laugh! :D

1

Didin't notice the relfecting pools, but with 10 come into play tapped lands that you could avoid easily it does make for a bad mana base. Vivds act as additional Ziggurats with Reflecting Pool, which would make them infinitely more useful than you current tapped lands. Birds and Cobras are good, but not reliable so why bother mentioning them? You say Vivids aren't useful since they only help twice, but seeing as you run 6 basics that never help that's a bullshit point.

And Rupture Spire? One of the worse lands out of Alara? At least pretend to be good and run Exotic Orchard.

0
Posted 19 December 2010 at 14:18

Oh my god you are such a phoney troll. 10 Lands that come into play tapped is not very good yes, but I do have my Mana-Boosters which make it ok to have Lands that come into play tapped on Turns 2 and 3 perfectly acceptable. Vivids might be able to have nice synergy with my Reflecting Pools, but yet again, will never be a complete waste of space because a lot of my Creatures are in fact Red and Green, which is why I run them as Basic Lands, WHICH MAKES THEM HELPFUL YOU DUMB SHIT! And saying that Vivid Lands are better than Basic Lands is like saying Sol Ring is better than Black Lotus, both useful, but one is obviously better. Saying my Mana-Boosters are not reliable was the dumbest statement I ever heard, so there's no need to comment about that. Yet again, you fail to see what the Deck can do, and look like a total nobhead in the process. Gratz.

Also, the original version of this Deck used to have Exotic Orchard but none of my opponents ever had the right Colors at the right times I needed them, which makes Rupture Spire such a better Card. Trust me, I've playtested this more than I've been in bed with your mum, and I know how to play it and you just "look" at it and throw criticisms like a moron. "At least pretend to be good" you said eh? When was the last time you played with Pros and made it to the Front Page? Fuckin' moron.

Alright, alright. Break it up you two. If Kaim is in fact correct, then he can design a similar deck to his own specifications, and it will be noticeably faster/more effective. Simple. =]

No need to argue when you can just...Show. =]

Really? All you did was scream how I'm a troll and insult me. Way to show who is an idiot. Frankly all I said makes more sense than just screaming about how it's a godly deck and how any thoughts against it must be wrong.

And saying "I've playtested this more than I've been in bed with your mum" would mean you've either never play tested it or slept with a dead woman, your call there. Who cares about making the front page of a website full of scrubs, bad players, and people with no original ideas?

hey man is this an old favourite making a come back ?, he he good deck even better concept, love it !, would only recommend the creatures that kill enchantments artifacts and creatures when the enter the battlefield this way you could still run all your creatures and your key big ones but add a leval of removal to it as well you have loads of option in creatures which do this sort of thing, other than that samite elders add a bit of fun when running 5 colours, as usual i havent checked what set there from so dont know if there legal but well done here pal, its nice that you havent sat on this deck i know youve had the concept for a while but your still pushing it well done. and your mana curve is excellent your small stuff like scute mobs proberly eat removal leaving less for the big ass flyers, i worthwile sacrifice id say nothing bad to say about it just the options above, cheers as always and if you get time can you and the boys check out my steady proliferate deck cheers, oh and any rapid black creature you can think of to add to my black deck with the nantukos ?.

Haha~ hey fluffstar! Oh yeah this Deck sure brings back 'em memories don't it? Anyways you're completely correct about the Creatures that kill certain things when they enter the battlefield, so I'll add them to the Sideboard once I get a couple of my favorites. And as much as I love Cards like Empty-Shrine Kannushi and Samite Elder, they're not Extended-Legal but could definitely made big impacts on the Deck, so thanks for the suggesting. Also, I'll be sure to check out your Decks that you mentioned, wingman! :D

It's awesome that people at your place are being cool with you. Really, the last time I went to trade and play Magic at my local shop everybody is kind of douchey about some of the earlier Decks I've been using (like this one). Of course that doesn't happen nowadays, but back when I first started playing Magic noone was all that supportive of me. Luckily, I had some amount of skill, and won a lot of FNMs actually.
