The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

How to Play

Stall your oponent until you have 7 mana and an aetherling. Cast aetherling and exile him when you need to protect him. If your opponent overruns you or gets a big creature out while you have aetherling, exile atherling and then cast supreme verdict. Save counters for cards that will kill you or aetherling.

Deck discussion for Budget Azorius Control

How do you plan to win the game?... You have 5 creatures that can deal damage.

did you read Aetherling? are you familiar with the fact that if it resolves, it is nigh on impossible to deal with? are you aware that it is litterall a 3 turn clock? its the only necessary win condition in this control deck.

Well if it has worked for you, that's great, play your own deck man. It just seems like a very difficult and costly card to work with, especially running a two color, deck. It's a great finisher, but I think the deck lacks cheap permanents.

I agree, azorius guild mage would be a RAD 2-mana drop in this deck.

since this isnt YOUR deck, I dont know where you get off telling me to play my own. you asked a stupid question, got an answer. if you didnt like it, its not my problem. the deck is built as CONTROL. he does not need a bunch of little shitty creatures cluttering his deck so that when he needs to draw a Cyclonic Rift or an Aetherize, he draws a Delver and loses. Control wins by not losing, not be turning things sideways. having 2 Aetherling in the deck is more than enoug to win, in a proper control deck.

If he wanted an aggro deck, it would be titled "budget Azorius Aggro" not "Budget Azorius Control"

"NinjaStyle612" (Cute Name) Sorry if my own opinions and advice to "addg" offend you, but you haven't said a single constructive thing in this thread. This thread is for giving the user who posted this deck opinions and advice, which is exactly what I am doing, and all you have done in your posts is disagree with mine, in an angry and rude fashion.

I'm just giving my own opinions, I don't "get off on telling you to play your own", YOU get off on making yourself feel adequate by telling other people their opinions are wrong, over the internet. You're being a brat, Grow up.

As for cheap permanents, in my opinion, if he doesn't have cheap defensive drops (not "Aggro" drops), and he can't play a thing until turn 3, he won't survive to play Cyclonic Rift or Aetherize.

Just my opinion an advice to Addg, not intended as fueling for another argument.

I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding, but you should also know that when I said "play your own" I was simply saying "it's your game, play it however you want". I was trying to make it clear that my I was only trying to give my own opinion on Aetherling, and I was not trying to tell anybody how to play their own game.

I didnt offer advice because the deck did not need it. it was a solidly built casual control deck. could there be improvements? yes, as with ANY deck, but in form and function for what he wanted it to do, it was well put together. Maybe there was a misunderstanding, as its tough to judge inflection on a text based forum. If you intend to say something, say it. That will prevent problems. I assure you that your opinion of me means very little, some would call it nothing, but to pretend you know anything about me based on two or three posts is ignorant.

TL;DR: I dont care what you think about me, this is the internet, deal with it

Deck Advice: I like Ponder instead of Think Twice. Wall of deinal is nice, Wall of Omens is also pretty good.

It could be, "ignorant", I suppose, but supposedly I "get off" on telling you to play magic as you wish, hm... To me it sounds like you are "pretending you know something about me based on two or three" posts, and apparently I asked a stupid question... you were hostile far before I was.

Try not to be rude when somebody has an opinion regarding Magic cards that opposes your own. That should prevent some problems.

What would you guys recommend I take out for Azorius Guildmage. And Thomasthenook what do you think I should add for cheap permanents?

If you wanted to head a more offensive direction, rather than drawing so many cards, I would take a look at Tamiyo, the moon sage, or Gideon Jura. Gideon's Lawkeeper and Gideon's Avenger. Wall of Frost. Never underestimate the value of keeping your opponent's creatures tapped. Sleep would be a brutal 4-mana finisher, and Kraken hatchling is perfect cheap defense.

I think Isperia is the weak link, she's A LOT of mana, and she lacks the qualities of a finisher, and you don't want a card that costs 6 mana in this deck in less it's a damn finisher! lol.

And if you're planning on drawing cards, go for 4 RELIQUARY TOWERs, grab some unblockable creatures like metathran soldier or cephalid pathmage, and use supreme authority. THAT WOULD BE PERFECT!
