Main point of this deck is to use "Chasm Skulker", teamed with "Divination" when available, to build a lot of 1/1's. Use these 1/1's for mana with "Chief Engineer" to summon "Scuttling Doom Engine" and "Soul of New Phyrexia"."Shield of the Avatar" adds some early defense if you need to build counters on "Chasm Skulker" or protect "Chief Engineer". "Shield of the Avatar" can also add some early game threat along with "Ensoul Artifact"-Turn 1: land > Shield of the Avatar-Turn 2: land > Ensoul ArtifactNow you have a 5/5 by turn 2.
