Deck Description

Your detectives will stop at nothing for veracity. Working with fell spirits or gaining the help of townsfolk, they circumvent all obstacles and dive straight to the heart of the matter. Let no mystery lie dark, or mastermind unpunished. Your weapon is the Truth, and it is unquestionable.

This was inspired by the Jace/Tamiyo deck in Magic: Duels.

How to Play

Needless to say, the goal of this deck is to build clues to build an army and build up your Tireless Trackers. With the growth and sacrifice of clues, the Trackers can become absolutely huge, making them terrifying to your opponent. The end goal is to make them decide whether they want to be walloped or pinged to death. Add in the Unimpeded Trespasser and Altered Ego, and their worries manifest in ways that are only conceived of in nightmares. I often like to use Altered Ego to build more trackers, but adding them to the Trespassers means you can do up to 12 points of damage totally unimpeded.

Your Coralhelm Guide is your gamechanger. Let your Drownyard explorers meatshield your opponent's attacks, then use the Guide to get your Uninvited Geist straight to your opponent's health. After your Geist has grown, use your Bearer, Illuminator, and Tracker to keep your Clue count up. Use Zendikar Resurgent to effectively cut spell costs in half so you can keep your mana ready to activate clues at your opponent's Endphase. Then, when you've untapped your Mana, you've drawn every counter that made your opponent scared to act last turn. This deck is made to keep your opponent guessing and shifting strategies. Should they call your bluff, make you use your Mana before you can activate your clues and grow your monsters, (you clever little Rita Repulsa, you,) or keep it cool and let you grow them?

The sideboard is made so you can shift to a more aggressive playstyle or defensive. Swell of Growth synergizes well with Tracker, letting you double your clues- add it to Erdwall Illuminator, and you've tripled them. Equestrian Skill lets you take your beefy monsters and tear through your opponent's defenses, while Graf Mole and Learn from the Past let you heal up and recover from a board wipe, respectively. Bonds of Mortality let you counter any Gods (if you're going for a Modern Game) or anything else your Flying creatures can't deal with. Last, Fleeting Memories let you flitter around your opponent's Life and dig straight at their deck. Get two out at the same time, sack some clues, and leave the mastermind with nowhere to hide and nothing to draw from.
