Deck Description

The deck title isn't clickbait, because I do actually gain so much life it's annoying to keep track of, although can't say infinite

How to Play

The goal is to get out at least 1 thousand year storm and wilderness reclamation, then play a lot of spells until you cast a manamorphose copied 50 times (Not dying because of Gideon), you then use that mana either to gain life and play gifted the next turn and win with Jace, or you play a lightning bolt and kill the opponent with bolt

Deck discussion for Too much life

As part of my preparation to design a sideboard by using wishes, I did some research on fae of wishes.
Turns out a really huge majority uses two of them in their deck.
If you measure 20 decks that play the card, 18 of them will have 2, one will have 1 and 1 will have three.

For some reason people seem to settle around 2.

Go to any decklist site and search on decks containing fae of wishes.
It doesn't seem to matter what the decktype is, people somehow default at two.

I don't know if it's most efficient or if people are just copying the first number they themselves saw it played at.

I will do an effort at measuring the card in my own setup to see if two wishes is somehow the correct amount.

This deck needs to get 1 card from the sideboard at most, other decks the sideboard is great versatility, so it makes sense that are more.

Yeah, the long term strategy of having a lot of life is very likely to draw you I to what you need.
I'm currently testing against 2018 martyr, and it really draws out the game. The most interesting thing about the design is that it uses a mechanic close to foresee, from around ravnica. It can repeatedly put martyr of sand into play each turn as long as it has 6 lands.

I'm also working at updating my shrieker deck in a way where instead of cutting the 9 worst cards out, I fix the deck by finding better replacements for those cards.

I draw my entire deck in one turn, usually 8-9 as this deck is garbage, but yeah it’s there for after if I needed to do it on the endeten for some reason

Doh, the storm should have made that clear to me.

Speaking of storm, have you heard of the new 'move' in baral/electromancer storm ?
They aim at either storming or casting a tibalt, cosmic imposter.

That's interesting, I've been tinkering with a Baral and Teferi's Ageless insight

That's not a bad idea.
Since I also got an 2018 storm deck, I know there are times where the deck just seems to get stuck in a slow draw.
It's legendary, but how many are you toying with in the deck ?
And did you ever manage to test out tezzeret's gambit yourself ?

I use 4, and it's almost never a dead card, because the removal in modern is just too strong.

Tezerett's gambit will probably go great

I meant how many teferi's, not barrels :)

I just replaced it for the time being until I could find something that worked well with it, because I can't have less then 4 frantic searches.
