A nice thought with Seance, but the token is exiled, so your seance creature tokens wouldn't get put into a graveyard.
You could use utvara hellkite. Its a little high mana cost, but good if you can get it to stick.
Consider tracker's instinct and mulch over think twice and dream twist. Cut the labratory maniac's to 2. There really isn't enought big mill stuff to get you down to no cards that often, but its a nice alternate win condition. Instead run ghoultree. It is a must
Also, if your gonna put Jarad in there, run a few swamps, even if its only two since evolving wilds can fetch them. That way you can get jarad back if you are desperate
It would be nice to sideboard sheltering word as well. It gives some life gain, and protects your cagebreakers long enough to get in the killing blow.
I really like the idea of faithless looting, i can discard something i have a double of so that i can start getting counters on Pyromancer's ascension.
When RtR comes out, you can make the deck more black focused, and grisly salvage will fit right in. Lotleth troll could also work
I was going through the decklist and was thinking "this is stupid. He needs colored creatures to pump up most of these scarecrows." Then i got to Scrapbasket. All makes sense now. Really love the deck.

Midnight Haunting and Lingering souls are a must. You need more creature removal, and then add oblivion rings for even more control.

Only thing is that you could throw in some sulpher falls or glacial fortress so that you don't have to always pay the two life for phyrexian metamorph
Skaab Ruinator seems a little out of place. I understand you want to have something in case of a board wipe or flying hate. I could see keeping one, but you should really consider spider spawning to fight flying. Throw in some dual lands for the black flashback and you'll be in business. On a practical note you could run only one or two regular swamps and just fetch em with the elks.
