With 8 mana guys you for sure don't have to worry about having 20 forests. You could get away with 16-18 as is.

A slightly cheaper card that would do a similar effect would be Acidic Slime, it's also great if you put it on a Mimic Vat.

I would like some advice on ways to tune this deck a bit while keeping it Modern, and not making it cost more. I really enjoy the style and tricks, so I'd rather not lose them.

That's all fair logic. I just prefer the bridge cause it thwarts ridiculous decks like Through the Breach.

Since you've got 4 and 8 Toughness walls what about Ensnaring Bridge instead of Ghostly Prison? Would just need to keep your hand size at 3 and then nobody could swing at you with something you couldn't handle (except maybe with death-touch), even if they did you've got some OK answers for guys.

this is what I've done. Have a look at the cards in the SB by the way, it's not infinite but there's some great synergy with Undying and Ion Storm in the SB.

Collateral Damage is better than fling in this deck as well. Although it took me a while to see that.

I like what you're up to here. Consider some of the dual lands (even cheaper ones), one or two fewer Rancor, and maybe a Kessig Wolf Run (since you might just generate a lot of mana with that chalice). You're gonna find that with 12 Forest you're not hitting GG regularly when you get a Strangleroot Geist and that sucks, because you really wanna get that beefcake out onto the table ASAP.

Worth noting that Carrion Feeder is your only card making this deck not Modern legal. I gotta second the Festering Mummy as it's a Zombie, has the same cost, and the effect persists.

Some good suggestions, but I'm aiming for the 0 and 1 drop guys with some sort of evasion. I did make some changes including Baleful Strix as a 2 of, may up it if I like people's preference not to trade with it.

Yeah, it's pretty high pressure. Like I said, I may find it worthwile to swap Lilliana's Caress for something else, maybe another chump blocker.

Ya know... I think with the amount of removal in main deck that deals with dudes, Path is SB and O-Ring for main.
