Deck Description

Mostly I'm just looking for ways to make Ninja's work REASONABLY consistently. I've got some pretty nifty synergy going on here with spells like Ornithopter, and Familiar's Ruse. There's a few different methods of evasion including Artful Dodge, Shimmering Wings, and Behind the Scenes, all to get past different deck styles.

Deck discussion for Modern Ninja

I think there are too many creatures, to be honest. 30 is a very large creature number, and about average for a commander deck, but definitely not modern.

You also don’t seem to have enough lands. Sure, the creatures are low-cost (kind of), but 20 lands is a pretty small amount for any deck, even a burn deck. I would recommend about 22.

Yeah, this honestly needs a LOT of work, I've got a few ideas to slim it down, some things that have to go, some things I wanna put in.

It would help this deck to slim down the number of ninjas and in their place add flying creatures with ETB effects like Sage Owl, Augury Owl and Baleful Strix. Either that or add creatures that are unblockable to guarantee that you will be able to hit players (or both). I would remove Vampire Cutthroat and Ornithopter for them, and maybe 2 Okiba's as well. Just a start.

Some good suggestions, but I'm aiming for the 0 and 1 drop guys with some sort of evasion. I did make some changes including Baleful Strix as a 2 of, may up it if I like people's preference not to trade with it.

Ornithopter's strength as the first-drop (0 mana) would be maximized if you used 1-mana utilities such as Inquisition of Kozilek or Opt.

Triton Shorestalker is 1/1 unblockable. Judge's Familiar is just a 1/1 flier but it's activated ability might at least delay some early counter-strategies.

If some chance removal or bounce is needed, a single Tragic Slip or even Mark of Eviction, perhaps.
