Deck Description

So, one of my earlier decks was a Standard B/W control deck that revolved around Skithiryx. It was a fun deck to play that could hold it's own, but could never seem to place top three in the local tourneys. Pretty sure the reason is once something hit the field that wasn't a creature, it pretty much had no way of dealing with it, particularly Planeswalkers.

With Besieged I've decided to revamp this deck into something new. With Phyrexian Crusaders, Inkmoth Nexus', and Sun Titans this deck performs as an aggro-control infect deck with Blue added for permission and card-drawing. Then after side-boarding, it becomes a solid control deck that wins via Shape Anew + Blightsteel Collosus. Added Luminarch Ascension to the board to make a full 15, plus I refuse to not use a card that fun and insane in a White control deck. ^.^

I'll be back later with news of how it plays once I acquire all the cards and play in a few tourney's. Comments are always welcomed and appreciated. :)

Deck discussion for Army of Phyrexia

like i said before its a good powerfull deck, but thats obvious with the ammount of money needed for this deck.

mine has like 4 rare or higher cards, this is over half rare or higher.

Yeah, but, compared to many, those aren't super expensive rares. Jace is going for about $8 at my local store and the others can't be too much more than that. Maybe the Titans and the Sphinx. Trade value-wise, it might cost you a bit, I suppose.

...I might have a different perspective about what's expensive since dating the owner of a card store means i have access to his collections. XD

Anyway, I like the idea of being able to create an entirely new deck if the first one doesn't work. It will throw your opponent off completely! Neat idea!
