Dragons and Goblins, oh My!

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

UPDATED...
Casual dragon deck using goblins as fodder; a few mana accelerators added. The deck is surprisingly quick.
EDIT: Added Wort, Boggart Auntie x2; Siege-Gang Commander x2; Mogg, War Marshall x2 and removed some of the other Goblins. Added a few more Voracious & Predators and took out some of the others (Hellkite); and removed the Marks of Fury. Thx to demonkimg28 and TheChurchIsHere for their excellent suggestions.
Deck plays quite well now.

Other thoughts by anyone?

Thanks all!

Deck discussion for Dragons and Goblins, oh My!

What's the key to building a good Dragon Deck? My current core is Flameblast, Moltensteel and Lava Dragons...

not to spam this deck but the key to a good dragon deck is focus. there r many different kinda of dragon decks that can be built. but u need to have a game plan for the deck, not just a bunch of big dragons in a deck (trust me it dont work to well..) for more ideas click my name and check out my decks, i have plenty of diff dragon based decks.

well as for this deck, i would suggest droppin a few of the bigger dragons and focus more on which dragons u want to abuse for the deck. mark of fury isnt needed in here though, ill get back to ya with some more in depth modifications.

Thanks for the comments! Much appreciated. @demonking, I will check out your dragon decks as well. I agree this deck is a little random and could go a little more theme based with the dragons. Looking forward to your additional mods! Thx!

azmetal : r u lookin to basically make a bunch of tokens/goblins hit the boared and then us like voracious to be a game ender??? there r way better goblins to use for that [insert evil laugh here] u can use cards like goblin arsonist, goblin fireslinger, another couple mudbuttons, sphere of the suns would be great here times 4 and if u add in a couple of the ichor wellsprings for some draw power u can even add in a few kuldotha rebirth as well as a few galvanic blasts. lightning bolt would be great in this deck as well. being part black, u have cards such as black sun's zenith at ur disposal and since its casual u can even use damnation. u can also use terminate, sign in blood, and even cards such as blightning.

it really all depends on what u want to do with the deck.

for instance, this is my mono red dragon tribal deck, its fast and is hard to take down when it gets going. lol and sure feel free to check some of my other decks out.

demonking28: Yep, was looking to get a bunch of low end goblins hit the board to get stuff out there, do some damage, but most importantly, be available for voracious and predator dragons. I like your suggestion of goblin fireslinger and will look at the more effective goblins.

Good suggestions on draw power as I did run low on cards in hand a few times and using artifacts with draw power for Kuldotha rebirth.

Thanks, again! I checked out some of your decks...getting some ideas. I also posted a few more of my older decks and welcome your thoughts on those too.

There are two ways I like to ramp up to lots of Goblin tokens. The first uses Wort, Boggart Auntie to keep returning guys like Siege Gang Commander and Mogg War Marshal to play, spamming tokens for Voracious to eat. The second is spamming instants and sorceries--Desperate ritual, seething song, bolts, grapeshot, etc--then dropping Empty the Warrens stormed multiple times. Either of these would be a good addition--then I'd go 4x Voracious, 2x Predator, and lose most of the other dragons, for this deck, anyway.

A mono-red dragon tribal would keep those dragons, but lose a lot of the goblins, and go 4x Seething Song, 4x Desperate ritual, and 4x Dragonspeaker Shaman. I also like Taurean Mauler in either, especially in multiplayer games.

Don't forget Skirk Prospector. Great way to ramp into a Dragon.

Completely agree. Funny thing is I had them in there before. How many would you suggest & what would you suggest taking out? Thanks for the feedback!

I never feel comfortable telling people to take cards out because I never know the complete thought process that led to a particular card in the first place.

So I would loosely advise you take out the Bloodmark Mentors and add Skirk Prospector. I only pick on Bloodmark Mentor because first strike is nice, but really not a big deal if you can get a bunch of dragons out. So even though it's useful, it might not be necessary. I assume it is more valuable to get a dragon that much sooner. Hope that helps.

I like it. go for more of a theme with it like more Voracious or Predators. Maybe more fodder cards too.
