I was gifted a Dire Fleet Ravager and thought I would build a deck around this bomb! Started looking at the mono-black life gain in standard and came up with this mash up. Plenty of fun creatures that move life from your opponent to you! Mean cards that let the opponent choose which creature they're sacrificing, or just destroying them directly, it happens pretty often and you can keep their battlefield clear.There's a real bomb to be found in Fretwork Colony once it has a lifelink enchantment it no longer hurts to put more counters on it, I've had games go where I'm getting 10+ life from attacking with him. so you can play him early and take the hit to your life knowing that once's he is big enough and has lifelink he'll help you recover your life quickly.
Early game it's about control of the battle field, by destroying creatures. Fretwork Colony is the goal, once you have a lifelink enchantment on it, you begin to reverse any life loss you encountered.
