Mill Deck

by bananagaurd on 12 June 2014

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Your basic mill deck; I need to add some cards. FYI if you see unneeded cards in there, they're probably fillers.
EDIT: Added Mind Sculpts, Profane Memento, and Divination. Took out Vedalken Entrancers.
Need to add:
-Hedron Crab (and Evolving Wilds to trigger it twice)
-Jace, Memory Adept
-Riddlekeeper
-Mindshrieker
-Archive Trap
-Jace's Phantasm
-Increasing Confusion

How to Play

Doesn't play very well in melee, but today (9/5/14) at FNM I actually won with it when I made myself appear less of a threat. So yeah. That's a secret I guess.

Hedron Crab.
Mind Sculpt
Tome Scour.

Mill decks shouldn't leave home without them.

If you play crab its good to play terramorphic expanse or evolving wilds, lets you get 2 procs in a turn.

I am so iffy with Traumatize. At first, it seems so broken! Half of your opponent's deck!!! Wow. Brilliant!

However, this is what i have found. By the time you can play Traumatize, on the 5th turn, your opponent doesn't have that many cards in his library, anyways. It is too slow.

Mind Sculpt. Tome Scour. Stuff like that is fast. To the point. Opponent down 1/4 of his cards by the end of Turn 2.

Yep, it is a solid card for Mill. Especially if you are running lots of creatures. In this deck, it is a very good suggestion!!! :)

The rack works terrible in a mill deck, I know I have probably cast the rack more than most people who play magic...

some people like it. not something I own or consider using

As the deck builder, I wont be using it, i think that it wouldn't work because it doesn't mill cards, and that's what a mil deck should do. I think that it would be ok in a burn deck though.

i think perplex is good 3 mana counter their spell unless they discard their hand both are beneficial to you

also consuming aberration it gets giant by turn 5 the amount of cards in your opponents grave yard should be huge
