I'm going for selesnya, because it combines strength and mass population, and without nature, we would all die

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Borborygmos I believe was still the guild leader since the beginning, and Ghost Council of Orzhova is the leader of the Orzhov.

By the way, I'm in favor of the Izzet, red and blue are my favorite colors to play, and I like the ridiculous antics matched with mind-blowing ideas/experiments.

Well, some of the Guild leaders are the same character, so it's slightly redundant I guess (?) But the maze runners would be interesting as well as maybe other guild-related cycles (cluestones, keyrunes, gates, bounce-lands, guild mages,etc.)

Yes, the sad thing is that the "deck" was organized like I wanted it when I added them, now they are not, and it does lead to confusion, should I remove the guildmages and gates, since everyone can figure out their names, and add the bounce lands?

I think you should maybe cut out the gates, yeah. But you could put either the bounce-lands or the gates into the sideboard so you have even, easy to follow rows.

Yeah ... they lost a beast of a Planeswalker. His new version isn't as powerful as his old ... perhaps he spent all his stamina o - *cough* - working for Aurelia.

You see, my issue is I love Simic and Dimir, Izzet and Boros equally well. I therefore choose guildless in response to the Niv-Mizzet/Boros supersoldier project being ended (Spark Trooper) and the failure of Simir to link up with house Dimir (Mystic Genesis). =).

I love Izzet, if only for the hilarious flavor text on most counterspells (Redirect, Remand, etc.). However, if my name is any indication, I am a white player at heart, and Gideon is white. Anjani looks stupid (and how dare he defect to other colors!), and let's face it, Gideon is way cooler than Elspeth. Only he is cool enough to carry the Worldslayer.

So Barbracuda I thought since some people may not know what each guild is about (story wise) thought I'd give it a very quic rundown of each of the guilds

Izzet: uses science and magic and follows the great vitamins niv mizzet

Rakdos: Rakdos is basicly just Insane people that love pain and suffering

Simic: these masters of biomancy take the awesome power of nature to the next level evolving it to make it even more powerful

Selesnya: the complete and total opposite of rakdos

Gruul:harnesses the destructive forces of nature and above all, SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!

Orzhov: masters of currency all agents go to the highest boxer

Golgari: harnesses the death and life of nature they scavenge the dead

Boros: upholds the law and goes to war

Dimir: masters of secrecy just waiting to take power

Azorious: I do not have a definition for this one

Some corrections/additions:

ROFLMAO - Niv-Mizzet is a dragon, not a great vitamin!

Orzhovv - undead merchants of life and death. Able to collect their dues with extreme prejudice.

Selesnya are zee uber gardeners of light and plant roots. They would make talking wooden puppets.

Azorious either has a stick up it's a** looking for magic smugglers or is trying to beat people to death with it in court. Boros fights for justice, but Azorious fights for the law.

Hey, here's a thought: which guild do you think each original planeswalkers (Garruk - G, Anjani - W, Chandra - R, Jace Beleren - U, Liliana Vess - B) would favor, out of the 4 guilds that share a color with them? In fact, which guild do you think ANY mono-colored planeswalker would favor out of the 4 guilds that share a color with them?

For example, would Jace prefer Simic, Azorius, Dimir, or Izzet? Since he was an artificer and heavily into arcane studies, I vote Izzet.

*note* I'm just looking for conversation, this doesn't have to be asked in the deck description. =).

I think Garruk would vote for Gruul. He's not much of a party animal. However, he is not too fond of civilization, so I doubt he would endorse Simic or Selesnya. Golgari is out of the question since he hates deathmages (he would like Ash Zealot's flavor text). So, we are left with gruul, which has plenty of creatures and mana ramp, which is right up Garruk's alley. Selesnya would probably be his second choice bacuse he loves wolves and Simic screws with nature.

Liliana is a dead ringer for Dimir. She loves zombies and the Gravecrawler she created is right at home here. I would put her in Golgari, but G is the color of her nemesis Garruk. Also, she is very stealthy, evading Garruk back when she was a simple deathmage. Finally, she seems arrogant or at least highly committed to black magic, and probably wouldn't want to "taint" it by resorting to nature to bring her creations back.

Chandra would love Izzet. Yes, I know I already put Jace here, but the Miv-Mizzet are the only red guild to have hardcore burn like Mizzium Mortars and Guttersnipe. Ral Zarek + Jace + Chandra ... Izzet would be unstoppable! Wait ... how about Jace and Chandra decks that work together!

I could see Jace siding with the Simic. (Not really, but I'm just trying to see what you guys think). He's kinda a perfectionist and so are the simic. He wants everything done his way and has no time for you if you can't do it yourself. Neither do the Simic, that's why they perfect creatures for their bidding.

What about shards and wedges(guild alliances)?
Shards: Esper, Grixis, Naya, Bant, Jund
Wedges: Ana(BUG), Raka(American/UWR), Dega(RWB), Ceta(RUG), Necra(Junk/Dirt/WGB)

So I heard that Chromanticore + Civic Saber wasn't that bad.

Simic. I like the whole idea that we are going to sculpt you into the perfect creature via nature and evolution the most powerful thing we've seen so far. The combination of science, nature, raw power, and intelligence is just so cool.
