Hey thanks for the advice! I cut back on the big Demons, and the ones I kept are aimed at the meta around my lgs. Lord of the Void because I know a regular who always plays Tron and grabbing an Eldrazi would simply be hilarious (I'd even settle for Wurmcoil Engine). Archfiend of Depravity because white X tokens is a deck that get's played a lot at my lgs. Carnifex Demon is great against tokens, but also buys two turns against Splinter Twin, another deck that is played a lot at my lgs (either killing his pestermites, or negating the damage dealt by deceiver exarchs). Griselbrand is simply good, and the lifelink really seals the deal for me. If I can pull off the combo, Reaper from the Abyss kills a creature the turn it comes out, and ideally every turn after. Finally, Runescarred Demon let's me search for that answer to whatever he has (either another demon, or removal etc.)

Do you think six big guys is a good number? I wanted to have the possibility of naturally having one in hand so I could cast them off of crypt ghast if I couldn't assemble the combo (none of them cost over 8).

I think the deck's weakest point is the early game, what do you think of Will-o-Wisp or Darkness to hold off the enemy early game?

Edit: Yeah Hero's Downfall is way better, thanks!

Oh, that makes sense. So the ability only works once as the card left play and doesn't have Saffi's ability on re-entry. A little disappointing but good to know that it doesn't actually work. Thanks!

In response to both your comment and BobLikesPiALot's comment: I'm pretty sure x can be any number (as it enters with x +1+1 counters), if x is 0 it simply enters with no counters and dies. Yeah I think one sovereign would be a good idea, as the deck has no real way to 'win' besides just gaining an obscene amount of life :P

I'll keep celestial flare in mind for a possible sideboard, no one plays Boggles at my lgs (besides me), so I think I'm safe for now. I really like Gift of Orzhova, but all my creatures either already have flying, or already have lifelink so no matter the target it's a little inefficient in the long run. Thanks for the advice!

A really interesting format choice. I've recently been getting interested in commander since it requires many different strategies with a lot of different cards - none of which you can rely too heavily on, thus creating diverse and interesting games. I really like the idea of a smaller singleton format, I'll have to try it out!

As for your deck, it seems very solid given the format - although I must admit I don't have much experience with singleton games, nor elves.

Since Green Sun's Zenith and Chord of Calling basically do the same thing, perhaps scrap Chord of Calling for something with more benefits? Unless you want the deck search - but in a 30 card deck, do you really need it?

I think you should diversify your control spells a bit, and use a few less creatures. For instance, you should keep to cards that serve a distinct purpose. Deathbringer Liege is great, but you only really need one of him (he's rather mana and money expensive). I think you should keep only one Beckon Apparition (as it's a great one cost card that syncs well with Nightsky Mimic), and instead have four Batwing Brume's - this card has won me so many games against token decks it's insane (I was at one life, she attacked with over twenty 1/1 creatures and I just smiled). Suture spirit doesn't benefit well from Edge of the Divinity or Deathbringer Liege so I would remove the card entirely. It's all about getting the most synchronization out of your deck. Voracious Hatchling is good, but I would only keep two in the deck (he comes out as a 2/2 so I mean, yeah). Get some Divinity of Pride in here instead. You already have good lifesteal from Nyp Gwyllion and Edge of the Divinity so why not (it's an amazing card). If life gain went well then it's a five mana 8/8. I'd get rid of Stillmoon Cavalier, Gwyllion Hedge-Maze, Harvest Gwyllion and use less Restless Apparitions, they're good but you need more removal and control - trust me.
I love to run a full set of unmake, and Devouring Light. They are amazing versus indestructible and basically all creatures. (Exiling)
Batwing Brume is an amazing card for defense - like I said, it totally surprises token aggro decks so you should run four of it. Your four Edge of Divinities are great, I love this card - so over powered in my opinion. A 4/4 Lifelink creature on turn two? Sure! (Edge + Nyp).
Oblivion Rings are amazing removal for, well, everything. You should also add in a play-set of Recumbent Bliss for extra life gain + (essentially castrating your enemies creature).
The above is my favorite Aggro Black/White Lifelink Removal deck that I run every FNM. It's super fun to play and extremely consistent. I hope I gave you some ideas to improve your deck ^_^

Also, Juniper Order Ranger is great for late game (every time a creature enters the battlefield it and the creature gets a +1/+1 counter).

If you're trying to make a persist deck with Melira (that isn't budget), you just HAVE to include Blasting Station - a three mana cost win condition. Basically, you sacrifice a creature with Blasting Station and that does one damage to the opponent. The creature has persist and comes back but without the -1/-1 counter because of Melira - Blasting Station untaps because a creature entered the battlefield. Repeat for infinite damage ^_^

Oh that's great! Trample would really help to keep them from blocking with tiny creatures (something this deck isn't amazing against - besides flame slash). Would the extra trample damage still count as poison towards the player, even though it dealt negative counters to the creature in the first place?

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll keep note of the Inkmoth Nexus and Might of Old Krosa for when I get around to creating a normal (non budget) infect deck :)
I always try to keep at least one Melira in my green decks so that... well, players like me won't totally catch me off guard. I love using her in my persist deck though, since it basically makes all my creatures invincible ^_^ Although, not quite resistant to removal.

I've never liked Plague Myr. It just always felt too week to me. Alloy Myr is a relatively cheap card (50 cents), costs 3 colorless mana, is a 2/2, and has the ability, "Tap for one mana of any color". I find it works great in multicolored decks.

Thanks for the input! Hopeful Eidolon and Spirit Loop is a great addition, can't wait to try it out. I really wanted to include Rhox Faithmender, but with it's 3-4 dollar cost, I'll just keep it as a sideboard and look out for a copy to trade for. Great suggestions ^_^
A friend of mine has this black white lifesteal deck that is purely sadistic. It makes use of Nip Gwyllion, Nightsky Mimic, and Edge of Divinity (broken IMO) to do tons of damage and life-steal on turn two and three. It also had Voracious Hatchling, and Divinity of Pride (which becomes an 8/8 fairly soon). It beat me by turn 4 ;_;
T1: Nip Gwyllion
T2: Nightsky Mimic
T3: Attatch an Edge of Divinity to Nip Gwyllion, and play another Nightsky Mimic.
T4: Oblivion ring his one good creature, and Edge of Divinity your Nightsky Mimic. Now you have:
Nightsky Mimic 7/7, Nightsky Mimic 4/4, Nip Gwyllion 4/4 with Lifelink.

If I had both i would gladly do the same ^_^ For now I'm thinking that I'll choose the cheaper option and wait until I can trade for a Craterhoof.

Nice deck! Since not all opponents will be playing green, I find that forest walk is more situation ability. I would recommend Imperious Perfect in place of Elvish Champion. Not only is it more than a dollar cheaper, but it allows you to summon elf tokens which end up being 2/2 with its ability. If you have Bramblewood Paragon in play they end up being 3/3 and have trample. Not a bad deal for one forest. Besides that I can't think of anything I would change :)

Thanks for the tips! I was trying to avoid any cards that were too expensive, but I might trade for or somehow get those cards eventually ^_^

I'm fairly new to Magic so I've tried to keep the costs of my decks really low. At least until I figure out what playstyle and decks are my favorite to use, and thus pay more for. I had a lot of fun creating a mass healing deck revolving around Serra Avatar (health and attack equal to your health). I would really appreciate any insight you have on it. http://www.mtgvault.com/bighonkingguns/decks/embodied-persona-budget/

Thanks for the advice! I'm not too used to playing green, so I wasn't really sure of some of the better cards. I was trying to build a somewhat cheaper deck, but I think I'll just create a new one with some of the cheaper cards.

Honor of the Pure, or Crusade has the same mana cost as Angelic Page but affects all creatures, of course, it is an enchantment rather than a creature. I would recommend Serra Avatar, it's powerful card, but also super mana expensive. Boros Elite is a low cost (one white) decent card, it can gain +2/+2 on top of it's 1/1 if two other creatures attack that turn. If you want more control I would recommend Oblivion Ring, I personally find it really fun to play.
