how's this been working out for you?I actually like this build, doesn't rely on a lock to win, but I'm sure there is a better choice than blightsteel.

I haven't really lost since I started playtesting. However I need to test it further against other types of decks to make sure it's working properly.
What modern decks have you faced?
Both Pods, some Burn, Soul Sisters (monowhite), Tarmo-Twin, Hatebears and Jund. Still pending on WUR Control, Affinity, Scapeshift and mirror trons (gruul and monoblue).
Scapeshift will be a bad match up for you yeah those decks seem 50/50 or better(the ones you have faced) Tron can always just suck though sometimes, sitting there with a hand full of 5+ drops and one tron piece is rough.
Update: Just won against WUR with a Karn Liberated-Garruk, Apex Predator pair. I'd say about 50/50 for that too, it really depends on them having Mana Leak against Tron's turn three 7-mana burst.
to be fair its hard to any deck to beat a turn 3 karn:P
Well, I still need Affinity/Scapeshift and just remembered I haven't tested against Rock. I'm not gonna test it against Blue Moon as it's probably an 100-0 for them except if I get my basic Forests and some Krosan Grip from the sideboard :P
You will lose to affinity game one more than likely(unless they keep a bad hand) game two you need to hit some hate(damnation,creeping corrosion or Krosan Grip) I really can't see how you can beat scapeshit besides turn 3-4 karn.
