Deck discussion for Modern Grixis Delver

This is so close to Standard... why not push it to current?

I could work on a list for current standard but was mainly toying with mixing my modern snap caster discard deck with my no longer standard U/R delver deck to see what it'd look like. I've not played much since a couple years ago around Innistrad.

Here is my standard Grixis... I have Delve but ended up moving away from it because making the deck a delve deck limits the control i think.

check it out.. leave a comment.

Hi this is Brent. Looks like a strong deck. Olvia gives it a strong late game if the game starts to stall, and it seems like you have enough removal and disruption to get the game to that point if you opponent has answers to your delver. I would recommend Inquisition of Kozilek your discard spell. It will hit almost anything because modern is such a fast format. If it does not hit it then that spell is probably in Leak range anyway. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=193428

I am really looking forward to playing. It will be a blast.

I am also working on a Delver Deck in UR.

I have (or will soon have) most of the cards in the main-board at this point. The thing that is missing to take it to the next level is more fetch lands. If you have enough fetch lands Treasure Cruise becomes becomes an Ancestral Recall at sorcery speed. The card is so broken I would not be surprised if it gets banned in Modern and Vintage soon, but I will am going to play with it until it does :). The nice thing about the delver decks is that they can be tweaked to be competitive in Legacy, although trying to make it a Tier 1 legacy deck is very expensive. http://www.mtgtop8.com/archetype?a=213&meta=39&f=LE

My modern UR list is inspired (stolen?) by LSV and you can watch him play it some here: http://www.channelfireball.com/videos/channel-lsv-modern-ur-delver-3/

I played in a Modern FNM last night, but with a budget Goblin Deck. I went 2-2, beating some people who had Individual cards worth 6 times the cost of the whole deck. If we try playing Modern or Legacy competitively sometime we should expect to see a good deal of Tarmogyf: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=136142

Yeah I was thinking about picking treasure cruise but it's hard to find right now. I was curious to check out Steam Augury to see what it played like. I loved Fact or Fiction which it reminds me of plus potentially I could recast instants that got sent to the yard with snap caster. They could get switched for treasure cruise at some point.
