Deck Description

so i made my fungus stomp WAY to early in the morning, and as a result it was very faulty. so here's version 2. the key to this deck is dropping thelon of havenwood turn 2 or 3. if that doesnt happen, you're prettymuch boned as otherwise it is just a tuned down fungus deck. but when you do drop thelon early... Lets just say it gets ugly, fast. comments, suggestions, and criticism are greatly apreciated.oh, and the overgrown tomb is for thelon's second ability.
Enjoy!

Deck discussion for Fungal Stomp V2

i think you should take out worldly tutor for psycothope thallid. stompy decks have got to have a way to draw cards or they will sputter out like an old car. :|

tezzeret's gambit is a good idea for both drawing and boosting your game, but even with that you need other means of draw. i would swap your llanowar elves for arbor elves. they can untap your overgrown tomb for more uses of thelon's ability. last thing is that even though he costs one more to play, garruk would make the deck twice as good if you put him in the place of thorn thallid.

by the way, i tried out glimpse of nature like you mentioned and it works very well. :)

i've actualy been trying to fit in phsycotrope thallid, but i just dont know what to take out. worldly tutor is needed in this deck because it is completely reliant on dropping thelon of havenwood ASAP, and without the tutor i was having trouble finding him fast enough. the other thing about psychotrope is that it only works by REMOVING counters, which is counter synergistic to thelon of havenwood. so maybe i'll slide in harmonize instead.... i originaly had arbor elf in this deck instead of lanowar, but there were times when i would only have nonforest lands, and it was completely useless, so i swapped it for llanowar. though i'll throw in another overgrown tomb so that it's possible to do 2 of thelon's second abilities in a turn. to be honest, i forgots about garruk. i'll drop the hermits for 2 garruk, since when i morph the hermits i usualy have to remove all counters, which makes my fungi small again. i'll test vitaspore instead of thorn thallid.
Thanks for the comment, and i'm glad glimpse of nature works! =)

look i know hes not a fungus but would vengevine be fun in here hes an extra threat for them to deal with and with so many quick drops you have he might be worth running, i dont know much about this sort of deck but it looks fast and thats always a good thing !, gaea's cradle i ssoooOOoo good i know its legendary but id maybe squeeze in a 3rd to increase chances of drawing one !

good deck, i have returned your comments left on my the rage deck so if you can re-visit and advise id appreciate that, and i'm now following so if your ok with it i'll check out your other creations and comment hopefuly i will know a bit more about some of the others , cheers ! and well done.

wow, thanks alot! i'll be shure to re-look at your decks. if i were running fauna shaman, i would definately play vengevine. actualy, fauna shaman + thelon of havenwood sounds really good...... dam. i'll think about that. thanks for that revelation.
also, if i had a higher land count, i'd defiinately through in another cradle. but as it is, i need to have a turn one land, so a third cradle would mess up the land base. but i definately see your point, and i'll consider it anyways. i'll folow you aswell. and your more than welcome to check out my other decks.
Thanks alot man!
