Yeah, I know black is under-reoresented in here... I just don't know what to swap out and swap in... Any suggestions? You've playtested, so you know how it plays...

Thanks for the feedback dude!

If you wanna toss in more creatures, drop the Clasps 2 Into the Roil and swap in Thrummingbird... Makes proliferate faster and more creature based, but you lose some control.

And thanks for play testing! I don't own all the cards yet (being broke sucks) so I haven't been able to play it.

Yeah... I'm going swap it. The proliferate for only 1 more colorless is (hopefully) worth it. We'll see how it plays :-)

Thanks dude!

I've thought about it... And it is a little expensive... But it would help and would use some more black mana (making the spalsh a little more balanced)... I'm missing a few cards and need to fully recreate this so I can play test.

Thanks for the suggestion dude!

I like this a lot... Gave me a similar idea... Just gotta build it amd I send a link your way when I do.

I'm really umfamiliar with Planeswalkers, so I don't really have much advice for this deck... But then again it looks like it doesn't need too much changes anyway :-)

Well done!

I can see Tezz working for the Inkmoths, but the Contagion Clasp wouldn't have infect, which would be a bit of a waste of his ability to use it on something that isn't fueling the overall goal of the deck... And I don't think i'm running enough artifacts to make his first or last ability worthwhile... But you did give me another idea for another deck... Stay tuned :-)

Thanks for the comments dude!

Dude, good job! I've been waiting a long time to see somebody post a DIFFERENT infect deck. I got really sick of seeing "Turn 3 Infect" in titles on the upcoming board and was hoping someone would jump on the infect train with some new ideas. Well done man, I like the deck A LOT.

Think someone already said it, but Journey to Nowhere would be very nice... Lets you sneak by and get some counters on early in the game.

Also, I know it can be slow unless you have one in the opening hand, but Cloudpost is a nice little colorless mana card that comes in very handy, and since you're using a lot of artifacts it may be of some use to you.

Infiltration Lens is useful for infect since the opponent often tries to avoid getting counters altogether (thank you proliferate) and will want to block. Abusing that fear can get you some nice card advantage early on, and help keep cards in your hand later in the game.

Thannks dude! Great minds... :-)

And for that reason, I like you, and I'm now following you. Ha!

Also, I just posted a direct damage infect deck you may enjoy too :-)

I'm just saying dude... built and played with and against this deck a lot. One doom blade, lightning bolt, go for the throat, or any counter spell will set you back a lot.

If you are set on a 2 cost infect... plague myr.

Shoot, forgot my main point... Graft doesn't work on Force of Savagery. It has to enter play first, then a counter can be moved onto it (it's triggered ability and the Force can only survive with static abilities or state-based effects).

Think of something like Door of Destinies (elemental creature types) and then use power conduit to move counters to it, or Chorus of the conclave, or spidersilk armor, or Gaea's Anthem... Something like that :-)

I really like this deck... Some possible tweaks to make it faster and facilitate counter movement could be done... Try out Power Conduit? You could draw from your Chalices and proliferate since MOST of your cards aren't going to need the colorless mana since they are so blue/green heavy...

In exchange for what? I've got 8 proliferate cards, 6 (somewhat) removal cards (all of them facilitate placing poison counters on creatures, and getting more counters on creatures or opponents), 4 bounce cards, 12 cards that give me card draw, and 10 counter spells...

The Clasps, while somewhat helpful, still cost 4 mana to activate and do nothing for the win condition, which is getting counters on the opponent... Same for the Engine. The Engine does give me some boardwipe, and a prollferate twice ability... at a TOTAL cmc of 10 mana to get it's full potential one time... Or I could play a Tide, and then reap the benefits of proliferating while countering and bouncing my opponents spells and creatures...

And since the last couple blocks have been artifact heavy, I'm sure artifact removal is gonna be a standard in a lot of decks.

Looks fun, but you're a little low on proliferate... 7 cards, and each one costs at least 4 mana EVERY time you wanna proliferate (not counting playing costs). You may wanna consider cutting down on cards that benefit from proliferate and and adding more cards that actually proliferate.

Also, contagion engine is expensive. You don't need more than 2 of them. Add cards like Inexorable tide, steady progress, core prowler, and fuel for the cause.

I really like the ideas behind this deck! it just needs some tweaking. Good luck, I'm looking forward to seeing this deck become good :-)

I built a deck like this for the girlfriend... there are not enough creatures in here. All those pump spells don't do anything if there's nothing to pump.

Haunting Echoes for when cards actually end up in their graveyard?

Memoricide is a fantastic sideboard card since you can swap it in and use it to take out specific playsets important to the deck (once you know how their deck works)

Ok folks... need a little feed back:

What about Fuel for the Cause in place of something (like Deprive)? Is the higher cost worth it?

Good call. I originally had Countersquall in there, hence the little more black mana...

Thanks for the advice man!

I don't think so... If you clone a creature with an enchantment on it, it doesn't usually gain the enchantment, does it?

It's funny you say all that about how to play this deck... This deck is almost identical to a control/merfolk deck I was using (lots of counters + lullmage mentor and some other merfolk to eventually get enough merfolk out that your opponent can never play anything). I just took out all the merfolk, swapped in a few proliferate cards, and this is how it came out.

I'm thinking of doing another one that is the same, but using Necrogen Censor and Countersquall for direct damage without the infect bit. Know of any other black/blue counter or bounce type spells that deal direct damage?

Thanks for the comment man :-)

Ichorclaw Myr is (in my opinion) one of the best infect creatures out there... Unless your opponent is playing a 3/3 creature they are willing to lose on turn 3, he's almost always good for at least one or two counters... And He's a perfect target for groundswell, vines, and predation since he usually gets let through because they don't wanna deal with a 3/3 infect.
