I'm working on getting all of the cards together for this deck, do you think sticking curiosity on Guttersnipe or Gelectrode would be worth it? It would potentially double/triple/quadruple the draw potential, but it could also disrupt the draw/damage combo.

Thank you for the very solid advice! Arcanis is there -solely- in case I mill over Conflargrate, so one goes, the other goes. The weavers are indeed coming out, I originally had them in there as blockers, then would exile them if I milled over Necrotic Ooze. Mindshrieker is one of the alternate win conditions for this deck, but you made me realise removing some other stuf and throwing another one in very well might speed the deck up! I've been meaning to change the land around for a while now, but haven't been on a computer yet to do it. Again, thank you for the advice, this deck will be tinkered with very much in the near future!

An ideal started deck! It's an important for decks to be cheap and fun for new players, as it may decide whether they continue to play the game or quit, and I think this deck really delivers on that. Way to be creative and versatile with such a small budget!

Everything I'm reading on both mana and activated abilities implies that activated mana abilities are still activated abilities. http://mtgsalvation.gamepedia.com/Mana_Abilities

Granted, I'm not really sure how through or official MTGSalvation's rule compendium is.

I'm fairly certain it's fine. Both effects must be activated to be used, I don't see why being mana based effects would change it, but I'll look into right now just to be safe. I'm not really sure why you made a mention of indestuctable, but if you need it as an activated ability take a look at Thornling..

I'm only an hour ahead of you, so that should work out fine.

Thank you! I don't really feel they're needed with the current set up, between Mulch, Grisly Salvage, EA's forest cycling, and Orochi Leafcaller, I've honestly probably only ever been color screwed once, maybe twice, plus dropping $400 on land isn't really viable for a guy who only plays casual. :P

Sounds perfect! I don't have internet at my house, but I can usually go to a nearby restaurant and get online.

Actually yes! I plan on swapping out Horseshoe Crab for Morphling, and Artful Dodge and Crimson Mage for Thorling! I'm currently working on a version 2.0 of this deck, it reliably pulls of the combo and the win around fifth or sixth turn, so now I want to really streamline it and see if I can figure out a build to pull it off first or second turn!

Thank you! I just posted the deck up cause I was pretty proud of my first infinite mana/untap combo. It was a very pleasant surprise to log on and see it as number two on the hot decks list!

Thank you very much Northy! I was just thinking about how cool Necrotic Ooze is, and the infinite combo sorta just slapped me right across the face out of nowhere.

I play strictly casual. Unfortunately I work 2nd shift so I don't have the time to go to tournaments, being on a budget most of the time keeps me from getting the competitive cards I'd like for tourney decks anyways. It's why I'm not running entomb or exhume in this deck currently. :(

Is there a lot of land removal in most tourney decks?

I'll definitely tinker around with it and keep your guy's advice in mind, but don't forget there are 12 spells in there to reach into my deck and grab the land I need, I honestly have never had land or color problems so far.
